Another Zombie show started Z Nation, surprised it took so long after the success of the Walking Dead

"is set three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, and a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Although the antibodies he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America"

Thanks. Just had a look at the trailer for season one on t'Tube and it looked ok-ish.

Then I realised that it was made by SyFy, creators of such trash as Sharknado and all that rubbish. And it had that skinny nerd guy who had sex with the big fat gal in American Pie-knock off, Road Trip. Plus, the trailer had some of the worse cheesy lines (attacked by zombie? "I give you mercy" *gunshot*). Oh it was all going downhill. Then I flicked through the comments which were overwhelmingly negative or the positives were that it was 'ok'.

I'm sorta leaning towards maybe not watching this then.

I flicked through the first episode and its very much about better equipped people fighting zombies (the remains of the US army) than the Walking Dead is. Will give it a shot and see, after all its got Zombies in it!

Having loved Clone Wars, the trailers for the new “Star Wars Rebels” from Disney look really rather good… IThe kids will love it.

Better equipped? There's only one former army guy left. I've watched the first 2 episodes, it's pretty bad, but in an ok way, it's a SyFy show, so you know what you're gonna get from it.

TBBT series 8 is ok after a slightly shaky start. But Penny just looks wrong with short hair. JUST WRONG.

I watched the first ep when it leaked about 6 months ago , its okay as a setup and has the chance that they can add other super powered characters into the mix (and then have them show up on Arrow)

Ah ok so they are going to do this a bit like Chicago Fire and PD? Think I remember the Flash character been set up in Arrow or was that something else?

Originally the whole origin story was going to be covered in Arrow first and then they would spin it out into its own thing but they changed it and Star Labs / Barry was in a small number of Arrow episodes last season but prior to him becoming The Flash (they then had Star Labs work on the vaccine and mentioned Felicity visiting with Barry)

Slight spoiler about the end of the Flash Pilot

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
And then Oliver is at the end of The Flash Pilot to show they will still keep in touch

Arrow Season 3 has also just started

Watched a couple of episodes of Scorpion last night

"It centres on an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defence against the complex threats of the modern age"

Not a bad show at all, nice to watch, some of the plot is utter madness but that doesn't really cause an issue.

The main character is based (and named) after this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_O'Brien

It seemed ok, but there wasn't anything there that really grabbed me. Will try a couple more though.

On the other hand, The 100 returned for Series 2 and that's great.

About a guy who can't die, well he can, but comes back to life every time, working as a mortician and helping solve crime, he's also english. It's pretty good.

I watched about 5 episodes of that then gave up, on paper it should have been something I liked, but I couldn't get into it

I thought it was going to be lightweight teen fluff, but it turned out to be a lot more mature with some genuine surprises.

Series 2 looks very interesting..

Gotham episode 3 was pretty good, getting much better than the first episode.
The Flash episode 3 was alright. It's all by numbers, but the overarching story arch has kicked in earlier than usual, and it passes the time well enough. This is more of a watch in the background, rather than put all your effort into it kinda show.
Really enjoyed Forever. Total highlander rip-off, and logic holes all over the shop, but nicely done and should be interesting. It's basically Highlander meets Elementary meets House.

I agree that Scorpion is stupid but loads of fun.

Doc G will tell you otherwise, but that's because he hates fun, or something.

A little too on the dumb side for me. Certainly not as dumb as it could be, but needs to be just a shade smarter really.

I've started watching Southland, its an old show, 5 seasons and now finished. Ran from 2009 until 2013.

Its a Cop show based in LA, very good so far well worth a look.

The actor is Welsh, and if he's trying to hide that he's doing a bad job of it.

The Constantine accent is all over the fucking map but I went in expecting that. I've only watched the first episode and, though it was a bit heavy-handed and hokey in places, I quite enjoyed it. Certainly enough to give the second episode a fair shake.

Much like the lead girl in Transformers 3, who as a well brought up girl from Devon has one of the most unconvincing English accents I've ever heard.

It's Swansea. He sounds a lot like (and looks a little like) the comedian Rhod Gilbert, which is confusing.

I agree, the first episode was a bit wincing in places but then really good in others. I think it'll probably find a groove. I'm sticking with it for now.
