Eddie Izzard was surprisingly excellent. As were the neck ties.

In fact the gore has been pleasingly gruesome.

Holy fuck shit, that sene where Abigail learns that Hannibal is, um, Hannibal was a good scene. The look on her face as he's stroking her face and she asks "Are you going to kill me?" was perfect.

That's how you do TV folks. Hannibal's ending was excellent. It could be a stand alone series and I'd have been immensely satisfied but knowing there's another series of this is very exciting.

This is an acting masterclass from everyone involved. The madness of Will Graham is excellently done when it could so easily have been terrible nonsense but somehow existing television tropes are trampled over. The drawing of the clockface on paper scene was so simple and elegant yet it did everything it needed to in a few seconds.

I'm really impressed with this series.

It's funny because I started to watch The Following with Kevin Bacon but it was just nonsense after nonsense. Hannibal episode 1 grabbed me by the bollocks and told me to watch episode 2. Episode 2 showed me mushrooms (you'll know if you've see it) and blew my mind; I was totally committed from then.

Sooo....Shane from The Walking Dead has been cast as The Punisher for the second series of Daredevil

http://io9.com/jon-bernthal-will-play-t ... 1710169763

Daredevil vs The Punisher = Extra Violence...this is excellent news.

The 100 - Apocalypse on earth, yet cast of Hollyoaks survives.

Lesson there, somewhere.

Gomorra on Amazon player thing was bloody brilliant. It's Italian but I'm fucked if I'm making a thread for Italian TV. Anyways it's about some mafia type people, really beautifully shot and scored and totally compelling.

Just finished S4 of The Wire, such a good show, if you have not seen it already you should

Was released on the NG is improved format the back end of 2014 as well so it looks a lot better than the older SD episodes.

I do love it lots. I'm also 3 eps in and one thing I have spotted is that this series seems a lot more flashback heavy than the previous two. I mean, I know that's what they do, showing the stories of the girls and how they ended up there, but it feels like a lot more of it is flashbacks than the others.

The flashbacks have become much more varied. Season one was obviously focussed a lot on Piper and Alex's past and as season one and season two went on it started to go into the history of the other women. This season seems to be showing more of the guards backstories as well and instead of focussing on one character per episode it is jumping around. I like it though, I really like how it's becoming more and more about the whole ensemble of characters and not just about Piper. Even though Piper is my favourite.

Constantine has been cancelled, shame as I thought it was ok. Better than Supernatural is now and certainly Grimm.

Some rumour that they might cross the character into Arrow of all shows but I can't see that happening.

Also Helix as well

INORITE? It's great. It had a slow start in the first couple of episodes of series 1, but became quite wonderful.

Weird it seems to have a completely different cast, but then I'm only 2 episodes into the firs series.

Episode 10 of Spartacus - God it's awesome. Massively ridiculously OTT homoeroticism, but it's aces.

Just started season one? If so, lucky you! I finished season three yesterday and we didn't know what to do with ourselves once we finished it so we ended up watching some of the cast interviews and stuff Netflix have got. Thirteen episodes a year isn't nearly enough!

Blue Blood's viewing numbers are about triple Hannibal's.

That really doesn't make sense to me - Season 3 has only just started (I've the first 3 episodes queued up to watch) and the previous two seasons have been amazing (and had great reviews / good viewing figures).

** edit **

Hmmm - possibly a rights issue for Clarice

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-f ... nbc-804239

I also wonder if some other network would pick it up (although I guess Fuller is going to be busy on American Gods)

I quite enjoy Blue Bloods, though some of it's attempts to represent a 'balanced' viewpoint is fucking iffy, but I wouldn't be massively arsed if it got canned.

We watch it as well :) Its starting to grate a bit with the family moral lesson around the dinner table each week

Gave up on Hawaii though as it got so bland

It's definitely very flawed but Tom Selleck and his character make it watchable in general. The grandpa character gets right on my tits though. I realise he's there to basically represent the 'grumpy un-PC OAP' demographic but he's so fucking one dimensional with it that he just comes across hateful.

NBC don't make it they just screen it, so it's very possible it could be picked up by another channel. IIRC Fuller has been quite candid about concerns about it getting further series after each one. I suppose it's down to another network to pick it up.

That's always the hope when a good series gets cancelled. But Hannibal's viewing figures overall aren't great. I'd say it's highly unlikely another network will take a punt on it.

Depending on cost, and how much fuss people on the web make about it, there could be a decent chance of being picked up by Amazon, Netflix or similar.

Season 2 of Hannibal is ace (thus farly), I especially liked Eddie Izzard's final meal. Izzard was great and when he said "compliments to the chef" I let out an actual laugh. Like, out of my face.

I liked the Manhunter, SotL, Red Dragon & Hannibal films.

I dont have Sky, nor ever plan to, but I am envious, and hope it does show up on Pick sometime (as BSG finally did)

How does it compare / fit in to the 3 films and the 1 remake?

It's all pre-film. I didn't think there was any overlap for a start but I've just seen the episode where Hannibal meets the pig farmer from Hannibal (the book/film).

Got to the end of S3 of Orange is the new Black

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Whilst the flashbacks on all the show characters were interesting, I thought the overall prison plot suffered a bit. I don't recall once hearing how long any of the main characters had to serve.

I gave up half way into the first episode. Didn't like the way it was done, the flow was terrible.

A few episodes in, and Entourage is already setting off the "oh shit, this is going to be really good" alarm in my head.

It's giving me a strong Californication vibe.
