In a nutshell, there's a family, (Husband, wife, 2 daughters, and a son), and they have cameras in their house for 100 days or whatever, filming what goes on. It can be incredibly amusing. In the first episode, older daughter (19, big Star tattoo at the bottom of her neck) got found out that she'd been pulling sickies off work, and then goes out clubbing every night, finally getting a new job as dispensing vodka in a club, much to her father's disapproval.

The father really is the star of the show. His iron grip on the ship's wheel as it ploughs through the storm, his teeth gritted against the waves battering against him. It's hilarious, seeing as he appears to get no support at all from his monosyllabic wife (like and older version of the older daughter), to the extent that I am beginning to think she's a real doll with a voice box.

Meanwhile, the younger daughter isn't really to be seen much, except she didn't go to school a lot, and the son, the youngest, seems to stop about wearing his hooded top, and complains about being tired all the time.

Highlights last night included them all dancing around to MTV.

All in all, it's absolutely brilliantly watchable and is a perfect example of why the bourgeois hat the nouveau riche.

I read that as 'pulling off sickies'... which lead me to believe she worked in a hospital as the naughty nurse of our dreams. Bah, I say!

So the Family are rich, then?

Of course, all the big Mafia families are.

They are Mafia, right?

Quite well off, it would appear.

The dad is brilliantly sarcastic.

And I love how his daughters NEVER listen to a word he says, yet he continues to ramble on, fully aware of this fact.

Awesome quote from the son
Quote:
I want to rip the top of [dad's] fat head off, take a knife, and write 'you' into his brain... Then 'are'... 'a'... [long pause] and then just draw a giant nob.

:D

I'm sure I'm not featured on this show

I may start watching this as it sounds amusing

There is actually another daughter who lives down the road with baby Ruby who makes me laugh in the opening titles everytime with her massive wide eyes :)

What I've noticed is the dad is constantly wandering into the girls bedroom, which is slightly erm wrong in my opinion!

And the 19 year old daughter had a Power Rangers duvet which was sad yet awesome all in one go
