You certainly wouldn't want to be up at the bar saying

"2 pints of stella and a G&T. Oh, and a vodka and coke for GiantDonkeyCockLover43".

Yeah that's always thrown me too! Nick and The Egg do that a lot, I've noticed. I must admit you stopped being "Branch" to me a long time ago. Someone (DBSnappa maybe) referred to you as Branch t'other day on the phone and I had to stop and think about who he meant.

That probably was me, but I haven't seen sight nor sound of Marion since a.d's days so I didn't know he'd changed his name again. Did I just say Marion. Shit...

I prefer 'Mali' to 'Tsara', but it amuses MrsA when I answer to 'Malia' and not as much as when it's 'Tsara'.

I have quite a few nicknames that I go by. Most of which were provided by friends and college goers. I don't tend to use my first name of Katania, most people get it wrong when meeting me in real life and I tend to cringe a bit.

Kat-an-ya, not hard.

Shin is fine as it's the name I chose to use on here and I go under that name for fic writing so I get a lot of people calling it me.
Kat is equally fine as it's the shortened version of my real name
There are many more, but these will do fine

My other character in EvE was 'Tsara Bluebirch' as I discovered that getting people to do shit for me (hauling ships, whatever, became a lot easier if the person thought they were talking to a girl.

Heh. I curried loads of favour in Neocron by being 'Sophie Ellis-Bumsexx0r'. It created a great first impression (laughter) and people were always willing to help or at least compliment me.

Apologies if I've told this before, but it kind of fits in:

When I were playing EvE, I had my exquisite pirate ship of killage, and attacked a bigger ship. After a while, the abttle reached a stalemate, but it was looking like it was going to swing in his favor, so I legged it. it was only then I saw the name. Gus HoneyBun. The rabbit that had a magic button that changed the background on the show where children's birthday cards were read out, and he'd bounce the number of years they were old. I felt bad. So stuck toilet rolls on the legs of one of the neighbourhood cats to make it walk like a robot.

I don't use my real name because many moons ago I got stalked by a guy on the net that then declared he was 'coming round'. 'I'll be about 45 mins' ?:| Cue me sending devilman a file with everything I knew about this guy and checking all of my locks! It didn't help that I'd just come out of a relationship so was feeling pretty low anyway and I was in the house on my own with the boys. *shudders*

That's where Jasmine came from anyway, the Goddess bit because Jasmine was taken up in a lot of places. I don't mind people on here knowing my real name, I answer to Jas as much in real life/live anyway I've been using it for so long now.

It was a real struggle to call you by your real name instead of 'Jasmine' at the car boot sale! :D

I'd definitely be annoyed if someone used my real name.

Mine is a derivative of my real name and generally gets shortened to 'bobby' anyway. Plus it has rarely been taken, so I can register in most places with the same name.

I met up with a bunch of Internet Chums from another forum a while ago, and we spent the whole weekend calling each other by our forum names, even after finding out the really-real ones. The mental momentum built up from years of knowing someone by their screen-name was too much to overcome, I suppose.

Especially when you're drunk.

Bobby-are-oh. It came from playing football with a friend, and there being a footballer called Babayaro

Also, rodafowa, where in Watford are you, as that is where I work.

Edit: don't answer if it gives away too much info!

If it were, I think I'd probably go for a username that was as far away from it as I could possibly think of. Possibly "Ewar Woowar", which makes me smile every time I think of it.

Anyway. Sorry to disappoint but no. Dan. Or Daniel, if you're my mum.
