Well I'd rather get something I know I like. The problem is that we all don't know each other as well as, say, office workmates or family members. In a way I'd like to get a surprise, but if I got Sister Cheeba for example, all I know is that he likes toad porn. I ain't buying that.

I did this for the book swap and it took about ten minutes - just organise them in a circle and pass the addresses one along to the next.

My family used to do a secret santa, but the objective was to spend no more than £2 and find the most awful, horribly, shite piece of tat. The winner was the person who bought the crappest thing. Good times.

It wasn't really for this site - I wanted to make a webapp that let's anyone make a list for any group of people and then scrounge the money of that. You lot were my test case.

For the above I once bought a balloon pump for 99p. For those that obviously couldn't be arsed to use their mouth to blow up balloons, it was a tiny, crap, ineffectual hand pump that didn't even work. Can you believe I didn't win that year?
