In.

I'd be up for that - I'm in no hurry to get through the game or get the achievements. The only one I have is the one for 'tipping an exotic dancer'. ;)

I might have even mastered the jet pack by then - I'd forgotten all about that.

I'll happily play it again... I need to do the shrinky and secret areas achievements still (68/70, ffs) but it was rather amusing that the first time I fired it up, I played it all the way through in a single sitting.

The fourth 'bonus' episode is terrible. I thank Mr Dave for his patience in going all the way through those horrible levels yet again so I could get the Game Over achievement.

COME GET SOME. COME GET SOME. WHO WANTS SOME. COME GET SOME!

I'll play it through whenever.

RE: The secret areas achievement. Does it have to be in one play through? Or can I play the game through, find, say, 50 areas then play it through again and find another 20?

The second one. Also if your co-op partners find a secret area, it counts for you too.

1/2?!?

I couldn't remember much after the second level, by the time we reached the second episode things were only sometimes looknig familiar, but I couldn't remember where to go next, and only the very occasional secret area.

If it had been Doom, do you think we would've spent as much time walking around trying to find where to go?

YESSS!

I has a host of extremely AWESOME weaponry. I'd really love to play it again. I'd completely forgotten about it until now.

Hmm, it's a Monolith game. I thought it was 3D Realms. Duke's sales probably won't change anything, then.

Bugger. I assume it's the same game engine though so at least Duke shows that it's doable.

Much of last night Mr Dave had run off at a frightening pace and we just bumbled around, unsure of what to do, until 30 seconds later the nuke button suddenly appeared and the level ended.

By the second playthrough, I'd managed to remember much of what was needed from the first playthrough. Including sneaky jetpack shortcuts which allowed three levels to be completed considerably quicker than usual. That didn't stop us from getting lost a few times though.

Dimrill : "Dave, where are we going? Where? Dave! Where?"
Dave : "I don't know. Ooh, look, the exit"
Dimrill : "You're joking!"
Nuke button appears on screen
Dave : "Well, obviously not"

"Is that a Chris Moyles?"
"No, it's just a pig in a car."
