I thought I'd put it up here before contemplating anywhere else. I haven't touched my DS in ages and I don't think I really will do in the near future either, so if any of you nice ladies or gents are interested then make me a sensible offer. I'd rather sell it all together, but can split it if necessary. I've got:

Black DS Lite with carry case, cart holders and spare stylii
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Zoo Keeper
Ridge Racer DS

So there you have it. Any takers?

I own a DS Chunky, and none of those three games. I'm definitely tempted. How much?

You can get a preowned DS Lite in Gamestation for £80. Obviously I'm not looking for that much, but a sensible, reasonable offer. If you want the games bundled with it, I'm prepared to chuck them in for something silly like a fiver each.

Ooh crikey, perhaps. I was looking at buying GH:WT with the proceeds of this and my iBook. Do you know if the hardware will work with the new Guitar Hero? Also, I know that some people have bashed the shit out of their drumkits - how is yours holding up?

As far as I can tell it will work with the GH:WT software. But no cast iron guarantees of course.

As for use, I have used it "less than double figures" times all told in what 6 months since release.
Theres not a mark on it, and it has never had any issues.
I used the guitar a bit moreso, used the mic all but twice.

I know that the GH:WT hardware is going to work with RB1 and 2, but I need confirmation that the RB hardware will work with GH:WT. I'll wait for confirmation from someone like Gaywood, because he'll know. I've just done a quick Google and I can't find anything conclusive.

This is the only sticking point for me at the moment.

Wiki says:
Quote:
In Activision's press conference at the 2008 E3 convention, it was confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero World Tour will be able to use Rock Band's instruments, adapting the note tracks to account for the smaller number of drum pads

Note this is Wikipedia, so not 100% convinced. Can anyone else confirm?

They have confirmed in several interviews it works. The guitars are largely the same anyway, the stuff they've added on like the low-down buttons aren't that useful.

The sticking point is the drums because of the different layouts. As Zardoz has noted from Wikipedia, Red Octane said somewhere that the drum track will shrink down to four pads instead of five. I've seen an original source of that quote. It remains to be seen how well this will work in practice, we won't know until GH:WT reviews start appearing. There is also the reverse to consider, playing RB1/2 on the GH drumkit with the elevation changes; will the note tracks work with the different layout? And just to confuse matters further, the RB2 kit has add-on cymbols that will initially just duplicate two of the main pads but presumably become different in RB3 or whatever.

Given that we saw significant announcements from both Sony and Microsoft about this, and given that it is a marked change of heart for Activision (since the last patch the Rock Band guitar works in GH3 now), I suspect the platform holders have applied significant pressure on the games publishers to make all their shit work together. Certainly some standardisation is in process and that's a good thing.

The best source I have for this information is Joystiq.

Yes it does all sound confusing, but thanks for giving me some hope that I won't buy the game and it'll refuse to work completely. At least I have the GHIII Les Paul if all goes hideously wrong.

If you buy RB now you end up exactly where I am. You get four instruments in Rock Band and Rock Band 2. You have sincere and (I believe) trustworthy promises from Microsoft, Red Octane and Harmonix that you will have four in GH:WT too, with some possible caveats around the drums not being identically laid out.

Note: I was wrong on one thing earlier, the RB Stratocaster does not work in GH3. I think it works in GH:Aerosmith though, stupidly. Also, I should have said, the create-a-song bit ion GH:WT is apparantly murderous to use without the touchpad built into the GH:WT guitar (although not much easier with it). It is reputedly very difficult to get good stuff from anyway, so perhaps this is not a huge issue.

As a seller I would advise a private seller to shift that lot at no less than £100. Well maybe £90 at a push but £100 is a cracking deal for that lot.

You sure? The unit alone is £80 in GS and you'd get a warranty. Zoo Keeper while amazing is common as much as RR6 was a maligned launch title.

I'd be looking at £80 all in, not that I need one.

It has his DNA on it though, with the right backing you could have your own Emo wig farm by next spring.

CEX trade-in would be £92. Anyway, Mr Sensor and I have come to an agreement, although I'm waiting for 100% confirmation.

Hi everyone!

Mine and LS's deal has fallen through (not through his fault or mine), so if anyone's still interested, let me know. I'd like around £80 all-in for the console and the three games. Anyone interested?
