Tried to log-in on WoS, and seems to have trouble pretty sure I havent forgotten my details so possibly deleted. But anyway Im pretty fucking sure my first ever thread I made on there was this original beauty....

what game are you going to buy next?

the blissful naiveity of youth and having money and a job and now I have none of those.

anyway I think my 30 quid hmv vouchers will either pay for one of the following,

pro evo 2009
midnight club LA
saints row 2

depending on how ridiculously marked up they are compared with the proper internet prices so I dont feel like Im getting raped by using fucking free vouchers.

Hmm... I can't think of a single game that's coming out that I intend to get. Mind you, I tend to ignore a lot of previews and hype about upcoming games so I don't know what's on the way so much anyway. I might wait and see what the consensus on Pro Evo 2009 is - if it's barely any different, then I'll stick with 2008.

I don't plan to buy any games in the foreseeable future, at least not for the 360. I'm trying to build up my Gamecube collection, so am managing to pick up cheap games for that.

I've preordered Race Pro. I may pick up a cheap SBK 09 and it might be time to buy a Fifa again.

Maybe Fallout 3 for 360
Defo RE5 (though that's next year now I think)
Defo Starcraft 2 for Mac/Pc
Defo import Rhythm Tengoku Gold for DS

Tbh I'm really happy with my latest batch of games so there's nothing on the immediate horizon.

The only real WANT game on the horizon for me is Fallout 3, and that's been the case to months now. I've barely turned my consoles on since discovering EVE anyway - although Rock Band ate my Saturday night (again).

Mirrors Edge, Fallout 3 and Wipeout HD are the only games of interest for me at the moment. I've been given an access dooberry for the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift beta, so I may have to give that a quick blast at some point as I liked the original up to a point.

Also: I bought Stalker: Clear Sky t' other day. It has nicer graphics than the previous game, but since it crashes out to my desktop every 2 - 3 minutes I am unable to comment much on the actual game so far.

For someone who spends so much time on the net I remain blissfully unaware of what's being released in the next 10 weeks, which is the usual snow storm of titles I assume.

I have no idea about anything to do with Fallout 3, what is it?
Motor Storm I downloaded the demo of on the weekend and it's more fo the same and I didn't like the original.
Wipeout HD intrigues me as I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Wipeout.
GeOW2 will be a definite purchase as I really like the combat in the first one.
Fable 2 as well, as I liked the first.

umm, what else is coming out? Bearing in mind I have no interest in sport titles...

Oh yes, sounded great in the EDGE feature (so did fable though), I forgot about Mirrors Edge too.

Not arsed about GoW2 for some reason.

I think everyone's just learned to ignore Molyneux and wait to see which 10% of what he promised actually makes the game before judging.

Quite right Dudso. From the Edge article it sounds like Fable 2 is going to be what Fable should have been with knobs on. I shall however wait till the game is finished before making my mind up.

I am considering Sole Kaliber 4, Rawk Banned and little else.

I can confirm that Battlefield: Bad Company is superplus fun good on multiplayer. Had a good old 2 hour session last night with Pundy and it's reet good. It's like what Frontlines should've been.

Highly recommended. I wish Rock Band 2 was coming out here, or worked on import.

No, it is. But consider that RB1 PS3/Wii isn't out yet, and that there is as of yet no announced release date for RB2 of any form. That adds up to "sometime in 2009" to me.

It'd be silly to have RB1 and 2 come out within six months of each other, though.

It'd be silly to allow GH:WT to come out before Christmas unchallenged, though.

yes very but I think they'd have no chance of making enough band kits available in time. I wonder if we get bonus songs again or if they cant be bothered this time.

If its more brit-pop loving again can we please have pulp-babies?

I'm sure that's it, yes -- but it's still very disappointing. The first game has still not launched in Australia.

The all-formats release certainly snuck out with little fanfare; the only promotion I saw was an email from shopto.net that they sent out a week before.

I'm still desperately hoping that RB2 will get a similar stealth announcement so that I'll be able to get hold of it in time for an RB party I'm having on the 27th. The internet rumour mill promised me a September release!

Fable 2 whenever that comes out. Apart from that, I really want to track down a copy of Virtual On for the Saturn, mainly for the cheesy music and general 90's-ness.

Next game? Almost certainly Duke Nukem 3d. in 9 or so days time.

It's like it's 1996 again.
