See, I like that, but I can't help thinking that by not using real newspapers they are diluting their point massively.

Tornadoes!

I'm fascinated by them, have been since I was a kid. Found this incredible clip from the National Geographic channel which shows 'em tearing things up in general. Forgive the seemingly mandatory terrible music they've put on it to make it more exciting:

Aye, I remember seeing that when it first came about (while the Spice Girls were still famous) on a video player at work.
It was pretty cool stuff. People who don't work with diggers like that are always surprised at just how powerful they are - as you can see, they can take their own weight with ease.

Ta Devilman, I watched that expecting some crap retro music video and it's actually a whole episode of awesome instead! Pat yourself on the back, laddy.

I did like the New York pixel thing as well, very impressive. As you say, a shame about the song.

I've got a video of the Bellagio fountains that I keep forgetting to upload to youtube. What's the easiest way to strip the audio off a video?

That's by the same company as the Dubai one, isn't it? I think you can mute/strip the audio when you upload it to Youtube.

Wonder if the dudes behind that are Civilisation 4 fans too?

And now I must play it again. (Best title music in a game ever? Possibly.)

While "could care less" is a stupid saying, it still works perfectly well as sarcasm, which is what it is.

It works well as sarcasm when spoken, with a particular intonation and stress. However I've heard it spoken many times with no such stresses and in which case, as well as when written, it just looks stupid. And I'm not buying any notion of implied or historical sarcasm that excuses saying it properly.

People need to use italics more in writing. It'd do wonders with ‘I could care less…’

A few titters in this and McKenzie Crook dressed as Servalan, but otherwise pretty weak and a complete non ending.

Shame they didn't more of the original cast in. Only Paul Darrow can really do Avon. Johnny Vegas as Blakes looked good but didn't deliver.

It wasn't any 'Cruise of the Gods', that's for sure. Although looking back that might not have been that great either, but I do have a fondness for it and 'Children of Castor'.

"Don't you remember? It was the only sci-fi show to ever open with the word... LEICESTER!"

Or something like that.

The latter improv where six of the men wearing white sheets go into the local Harlem library branch with their friend 'Winston' to improv him getting slimed didn't go down as well I hear. Poh-lice were called.

Fascinating video on work incentives and performance; a great talk by itself, but even better accompanied by the video.
