I'm urging to shoot things from a first person perspective as stress relief. Pow Pow Pow.

But I've shot all the things I can with the games I have available. However I have noticed that Game are selling 'The Darkness' for £7.99. I remember people nattering about this game in the occasional thread, but I can't remember if people think it is any good or not.

I'm very skint at the mo, so I need to be careful even though it only costs £8. So did you like it? Will it satisfy my Pow Pow urges? For some reason I feel that I need to mention that I thought the Demo for Prey was wank...

It has some good bits. I think it's worth £8.

(You'll get a couple of quid back once you played through and traded it too).

I thought it was ok, so much so that I actually finished it which is becoming a bit of a rarity. Perhaps not the game if you're craving an out and out shoot fest though.

Do you already have Crackdown? That's £7.99 second hand at Game.

I have the Darkness sat on the shelf ready for a rainy day (along with Mass Effect). It has Mike Patton in it if that helps?

The important question is what does Perkies think of its Subway system?

Yeah, it's good, but I got stuck in an unfairly difficult bit about 1/2 way through and never went back to it. Horribly violent and graphically superb in places.

It's also in Gamestation's 4 for £20 (along with The Darkness).

Just picked both of them up at the weekend along with CoD2 and GRAAWW. I've only played Crackdown and CoD2 so far though so have nothing constructive to add, sorry.

I was somewhat put off by the bizarre "goth in the mafia" storyline, and the fact you're celebrating your 21st birthday - when you're transparently in your mid-forties. But I'd struggle to say it was a bad buy for £7.99.
I spent most of my time wandering around looking at stuff and cooing at how pretty it all looked to be honest.

In an attempt to bankrupt the games industry we could start a loan club with a strict criteria of games coming back in the condition they go out in.
I have quite a few games I can't be arsed putting on ebay that I wouldn't mind loaning to people if they look after them in a "you bend it you mend it" kind of agreement. Call it a fact of life that as you get older you get less time to play :)

Lave obviously hates me, and my suggestion. Maybe it's because of the way I pronounce his name.

Write, sorry been really busy since last posted and so didn't see your wonderful offer. Thanks very much but I fell of the wagon whilst walking past a morrisons last night and "just going to see if the offer is on" lead to me buying GTA IV. Whoops. So I don't need a new game now.

You get 250 Awesome points though.

Do you still love me?

They not? Hmm, ruffling through my wallet here I've got Awesome Points, Fantaso-Farthings Fun Bucks, Brillo-Pads, Excellence-Chuffs and the Dudemark.

Any of them ok? Whats the conversion rate to bananas?

anyway, I got The Darkness in GS' 4 for 20 offer. worth checking out to see if you fancy the other titles available. Amped 3, Prey and Crackdown were all there.

I was after Amped 3 in the 4 for £20 but my local GS had it in their 2 for £20 range instead. I could get it for £6 at cex.co.uk but it's the principle >:(

Yeah so did mine (although I've had it since pretty much launch, I just happened to notice). I suspect it's recently moved from one t'other and some stores are staffed by monkeys.

Thanks, but now I've bought GTA I shouldn't spend anything else on games for about an ever.

I've decided I'm not starting it until I've finished Prey.
