About time, the little fucking shit. I hate him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcv23DPHQ7g&

'I won't go pro, I want to win the gold', he said, after the last olympics.
'Hang on, a bit of cash?', and pro he goes.

And what the fuck has he done in the last 4 years? A few well-massaged, easy fights that have done little except inflate his ego. Had he actually held off and won olympic gold in China, I'd find him slightly less detestable.

He's been served up patsies for four years and, as my good friend Geoff said four months ago, was put on his arse by the first guy to get to his chin.

This is why Calzaghe wants to leave Warren - its all well and good pocketing the British TV money, but America is where the real challenge is.

Boxing: More fixed than pro-wrestling.

average fighters fed no-hopers for years to give them an impressive win-loss line, then put in against a great boxer, in a massive hyped up bout, and are absolutely destroyed.

And more to the point, Audley Harrison.

Woah! Woah! Woah! Woah! WOAHHHHH!

Incorrect from Pundabaya.

The guy Khan lost to is not a great boxer. He's a decent fighter with little experience who is not ranked in the Top Ten by any boxing federation or list. He was literally a nobody... a decent nobody, but compared to Khan's level of exposure he was meant to be a good person for Amir to knock the f**k out.

Hah.

Khan has been ruthlessly exposed as being a very good flashy fighter with no chin at all. He's got potential world class offence, but can't protect his head for shit. He can feasibly learn defence, but he can't learn to not have a glass jaw. Trouble.

To address the second point, Hamed did indeed lose to the first GREAT boxer he faced, but look at the career of Barrera pre and post-Hamed. He was a world class boxer the whole time. He was considered the best in the weight category the entire time. Hamed was VERY GOOD. He took out the majority of the weight category in record time, won more than one World Title and was a very, very good boxer. Even though his chin was suspect, he was far better at evasion than Khan. Hamed won two (I think) World Titles. Khan didn't even win a British or European Title.

Had Hamed not fought Barrera, and had he fought a few 'mandatory' challengers, learned defence and schooled himself on boxing he could have been a legend. As it was, he hit a brick wall, lost confidence and that was it.

In summation, Hamed >>>>>>>>>>>> Khan.

And both >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Harrison.

I heard Amir is going to appear in the remake on Gone in 60 Seconds after this brilliant performance.

Anyone else see Calzaghe last night? Can't believe I had to stay up until six in the bloody morning.

Happy I did though. Awesome fight. Joe was outstanding.

yep, I stayed up for it also.

well... I stayed up til 3.30 and then fell asleep on the couch only to be woken up by the loud crowd reaction to Joe being put on the floor in the first round.

he was excellent afterwards though. he used such a risky strategy but to be fair his chin is rock solid. not sure how it would have gone without that cut but Jones didnt look up to much at all really.

great fight.
