What is this offensive crap assaulting me from radios all over the nation? "I'm a skank, I snogged another woman to tittelate my boyfriend and, most of all, YOU dear listener!" Well, I must buy your album at once then, Some Woman Singer!

I've also kissed a girl. I found the experience most pleasant, and hope to attempt it again in the future. I heartily recommend it to all.

Quite a catchy tune too. I endorse that.

Ah, I smell the pop writing genius of Cathy Dennis at work. You may well hate the song, but you've got to admire the capacity of said Dennis to write infectious pop songs.

Switch off the fucking radio, Rich. That might work. Try being me, stuck in bed, wanting to play games but too paranoid about slipping a disc if I crawl around under the TV downstairs unplugging my 360.

Did you look that up? If you did that off the top of your head I will be very impressed.

New car only has a single slot CD and no iPod connection until I change the headunit, so passengers keep putting the radio on. Plus it was on just now in the baguette shop I went to for lunch.

I hate all radio except Radio 4.

I didn't look it up, I knew she was responsible for it though.

I do have a child, she just isn't in right now and won't be for a couple of hours. And no, she isn't out having sapphic jinks, either.

That's exactly how I read it, too.

The tune is a bit boring, and yaawwwnn, all girls kiss another girl at some point, just because.

It is true. Girls kiss girls, they just do. Someone here will say 'but I haven't' and I will say to them 'yet'.

It's very similar to a song I wrote. I seemingly made the mistake of writing about a man on man kiss. The line about 'tasting his chapstick' has been pretty much lifted wholesale.

Is it just me, or does Katy Perry look a bit too much like Zooey Deschanel for comfort? As soon as I saw the erstwhile Ms. Perry, I immediately thought of her and Zooey locking lips, and frankly that stopped me doing work for the rest of the day.

I am ashamed to say that this is currently on my youtube song list >.<

I was fighting it-I was! I thought, 'Oh great-this'll be a hit because all the sicko pervs will be getting off on it'...then....I heard it a few times and...I decided I may like it (the song!! Not the kissing ladies-although...) I hate it because it's catchy and moving with the damned times where everyone is after both sexes

So the "normal" straight men are those who enjoy watching other men's cocks?

The fact that when watching a video there is a distinct lack of cock is pretty much a boon. See also grunting hairy man arse.

actual LOL.
Or he's gay. However, I think grunting doesn't have the right onomatoepaic ring to it. Ahem.

I warned you all about this in the last Bits and Bobs thread, and was told off by Dudley. This song was EVERYWHERE in Canada back in June.

Still, the potential for rude versions of the lyrics is almost unparalelled.

I haven't heard it that much to be honest. But then we do have a crap radio station on which just repeats shit all day. I'm going to be so glad when Rod's on holiday and Si controls the music. I think I heard it a few times around a friends and asked her what it was

I finally got around to listening to this.

I love pop music.

This seems like an average cover version of the classic "Sweet Dreams my LA-Ex" by Rachel Stevens, with popularity added purely via the popularity of lesbianism.

So there ya go.

I meant that I think she wrote it. I know she writes a lot (didn't someone mention it in this topic too?) So it would sound like "one of hers", but nobody who just heard Rachel Stevens on radio or MTV would know it's a Dennis song.
