I've just been flashed and waved at by another Nissan Cube owner.

I'm now part of some kind of club I guess. How exciting!

:this: I have to admit, I didn’t like it at first as it does look a little odd… but the more I drive it, the more I like it. It’s different which is fine for me. It’s also comfy, the stereo sounds good and has Bluetooth which I didn’t realise would be so useful.

I’ve seen one with Space Invader decals all around it… I think I’d like to do that to it.

Yeah
One, two, princes kneel before you
That's what I said, now
Princes, Princes who adore you
Just go ahead, now
One has diamonds in his pockets
That's some bread, now
This one, said he wants to buy you rockets
Ain't in his head, now
Aah, dee, dee, dee, dee
This one, got a princely racket
That's what I said, now
Got some big seal upon his jacket
Ain't in his head, now
You marry him, your father will condone you
How 'bout that, now
You marry me, your father will disown you
He'll eat his hat, now
Marry him or marry me
I'm the one that loves you baby can't you see?
I ain't got no future or a family tree
But I know what a prince and lover ought to be
I know what a prince and lover ought to be
Said, if you want to call me baby
Just go ahead, now
And if…

What a perfect opportunity to post this picture of me, the wife and the lead singer of the Spin Doctors. He did a gig the other week and it was great!

Mali - do you have any photos to hand of you in a situation that people might want to aspire to (and perhaps might be secretly jealous of)?

It's really funny you mentioned that. Only this summer, after walking the Monsal Trail, I bumped into someone who had also done it. And they had it filmed!

Let's roll the dice on the Subaru's MOT! I think rear shocks (car looks slightly saggy at the back but it does have 2 car seats and stuff always in it*), and a side light out because I don't drive it at night**

In EXCITING ROVER NEWS everything currently functions to a degree, but you cannot clear windows by opening then closing them.

*Might as well put stiffer anti roll bars in if they are being changed out, with a quick decoupler.

**MrsA complained the auto headlights were broken***. It doesn't have auto headlights.

*** Also, the "horrible, juddering banging noise" the car makes all the time is her using third gear for EVERYTHING****

**** Which explains the clutch

Not everywhere, but noticeably up hills. And there are many very steep ones around here (and few gritters, so AWD useful when going to/from Dick Hudsons)

I've had some experience with these bastards, it's a forester right? the springs go soft so shocks probably won't help. The real problem is that the springs you get from the usual motor factors are all too soft straight out of the box and the ride height is low again straight away so you can't use aftermarket springs. Subaru don't have any original ones left so you can't use those either. The closest we got to a satisfactory solution was to fit discovery springs which make it a tad too high and a little harsh but close enough. can't remember what model disco though, it was the older one with the staircase roof.

Yeah, Grim.. said to get these

http://www.pedders.co.uk/subaru-foreste ... 538557.htm

To fit.

Equally, I could be just overly concerned as the back of the car has in it 2 isofix based child seats and a double buggy in the boot so it does sit a bit low due to the weight
