Philips 21 inch CRT Tv with a radio in it. It doesn't have a box, but there is a remote (If you are lucky, it even has batteries in it).

Free to a good home.

PM me, Bicester, Oxfordshire, you can collect it.

When I saw you'd posted I was hoping you were going to say you'd put it on your blog. :)

My sister lives near you, and my gf could do with a tv larger than 14".

Let me investigate the logistics of my sister picking this up, and you might have a SALE :)

That's cool man, let me know details etc, as man from pub might be interested, but I told him that he is second on list to BESSIES.
Off to bed now, night night.

I have an office chair which would be fine if someone wants to repair the rapidly cracking arm.

My dad had an old, but not too old and big CRT television which I could've had for free. I wanted to use in my bedroom with older games consoles or something. He was getting rid of the TV because he just bought a 36" HD Ready flatscreen.

He turned up in his car with the TV. It was too large for me to carry, particularly as I'm not very well with asthma generally, and he refused to help me lift it. He said, "go and ask the neighbours". I pointed out what a fucking stupid suggestion that was, as I didn't know any of them, and that the only native English speaking local inhabitants were frail pensioners, who wouldn't answer their doors to an unknown youngster anyway. So he drove off in an aggressive mood, then tells me a few days later that he just took the TV to the local tip instead. Twat.

I've now got a Toshiba 42in RPTV* needing to be disposed off. It's a definite van-or-trailer job. Anyone Liverpool-oriented want?

Also 2 floor-standing Eltax speakers that came with the telly on promotion (from when they were good, before Richer Sounds bought them) - they've got a built-in powered sub too.

And a PS2 (one of the later bulky ones) and a Gammycube, actually, both with 2 controllers and a variety of video connectors.

Ooh, and a Sony DVD player, quite a good one at the time, RGB SCART and Component (progressive) out, optical and coaxial digital outs. Multiregion.

And a couple of Freeview boxes, but they're shit.

* CRT-based so the screen sits atop a solid lump of lights and electronics, floor-standing basically. 100Hz, SD-only, no progressive scan, 1 component, 1 RGB SCART (2 S-video ones), 1 optical 1 coaxial digital audio inputs, built-in DD5.1 decoder (internal stereo with powered sub, but also 5.1 speaker outs).

Will you let me pay postage for you to send the PS2 to Lave?

He has a stack of awesome games he has bought on the cheap, and no PS2.

Any gamecube games you want rid of?

Haha, it's our own Freecycle thread!

BikNorton, how much you want for the DVD player?

Is a bag of fruit machine tokens any use to anyone? I know there are all kinds of different types but I ended up with a bag full from Wales a good few years back and I found them the other day (while I was looking for a phone charger, obviously).

I work in Manchester (Trafford Park, over the canal from the Lowry). We might be able to work something out (apart from the telly, I don't think I'll fit that in the "two carrier bags" boot of my car).

I have some Gammycube games that will also want disposing of, I was intending to just throw them in; no point me having games or accessories if I get rid of the console! Ikaruga, Monkeyball 2, Rogue Squadron... can't remember if/what the others are.

I don't really want anything for the DVD player, it's being replaced by a PS3. As with everything I listed, it's redundant and I'm just hoping that someone locally will be able to give it a good home (because I'm too lazy and cynical to faff about with eBay and the post office and that).

I have a couple of arm chairs up for grabs! Honestly.. I do!

They're in very good condition, not exactly modern but very comfy. They are a pinky cream in colour.. free to good home in the West Midlands area.

Although.. I'm not expecting many people to want them, I just don't want to take them to the tip. I don't like to see waste.

Oh, and I've got a posh, powered SCART switching box. A B-Tech BT-945 Quintro+, I think. 4 RGB and 1 S-Video SCART into one output socket, with a remote (which is generally unnecessary). Don't need that anymore, either.

Finally, I've got a Samsung VHS recorder from ages ago that cost £190 because it does NTSC playback on PAL(60) - which was new and high-end at the time. But no-one will want that.

Could I put my name on the Scart switch please? It sounds just what I'm looking for!! I'll send you a PM this afternoon to sort the finer details if that's ok...

I would like a free 40" plasma TV. Does anyone have one going spare?

Really? What's the difference? I am a flatscreen n00b.

I'm still using a 32" CRT, which is perfectly lovely, but I'd like something thinner. My TV is Early 90s Geri Halliwell to the flatscreen's Noughties Victoria Beckham.

Games and hi-res DVDs look more Oooooh Shineee on LCD. Sky Football and Eastenders looks better on Plasma.

Something like that.
