I stumbled across this a while ago while listening to last.fm radio. Otherwise known as Owen Pallett, he arranged the strings on both Arcade Fire albums (which I was startled to find out a few minutes ago, as I had no idea).

I've been listening to his second album, He Poos Clouds, quite a lot over the last few months and it's strangely catchy. It's very piano and violin driven, but the most interesting part (for some :P) will be the lyrical content. Each song (with two excepting) is loosely based around a school of magic from D&D. I'm not a big role-player, but even I find this quite interesting.

Some lyrics:

And move him with your thumbs, I move him with my thumbs
He needs, he needs my guidance, he needs, he needs my time

Gotta find and kill my shadow self
Gotta dig up every secret seashell

Anyway, that's about it. I really like this album and wanted to share. If you want to find it to have a listen, you don't have to be a genius to figure out how.

Sounds interesting, maybe even a purchase for the Music Library!

I really really like Has A Good Home, the one with the song about Arcade Fire on, but there's only so much twee I can take.

Oh! He did the music for Traffic Department 2192! That game was aces, although I don't actually remember the music.
