the white ones at the front are from the modern space sets - we got the white guy with the gold visor with the space shuttle last week.

Aye, I bought that too (£12 at John Lewis - barg!) along with the a little moon buggy too.

I fucking love Lego again. I'm 31, what's happened!?

If Lego still did that 'order precisely the bricks you want' I'd totally be getting one of these:

Yes, but only Technic is proper Lego, everything else is just toys for cretins.

I made the mistake of going to the Lego site and now I know there's Lego Marvel heroes. I really really want a Lego Iron Man now. :(

He has an itch. Inside his suit.

Real astronauts have something called a valsalva device inside their helmet, which is intended to block their nose so they can do the Valsalva maneuver and equalize their inner ear pressure. However, it's also been used to scratch an itchy eye or face. I wished for such a thing inside my motorcycle helmet many times.

More Lego train awesomeneess:

I think Lego is missing a trick: they should sell proper, accurate licensed models like that and make a killing - this is the nearest I've seen. I'd have loved them when I was a kid, it would have been near-enough the perfect toy for me. Instead I had most of the Micromachines trains:

£3.99 seems a good price for a Lego Star Wars Book with a free minifigure.

I'm not a LOTR fan personally, but I imagine some people on here might get a kick out of this:

Note that this is an exclusive set, meaning it's all brick built; no whole wall panels etc.

I like the way it references "your kid" and "your child" everywhere on the site. They really don't get their market at all do they :D

$39 a month for the big sets, that actually sounds reasonable considering the price of a lot of them!

No charge for lost pieces. That's me sending empty packs back.

Imagine being the poor bugger checking them all.

Not at all, that's fun. Checking that each set had a complete set of bricks for others to build would be hellish.

If I was paying someone to check, that's how they would be doing it for their minimum wage zero hour contract.

As a person who owns a decent amount of LEGO and has it all sorted and bagged etc: It takes a large amount of time to separate and inventory it all. If I were this company I'd just weigh it on a decent set of scales.

If it's not the same weight THEN you check.

Also: If you send out 400g of LEGO and get 400g back, who cares? ;)

Though, looking at the sets on offer, some of those have interesting bits that people would want to nab.

Maybe they have some form of conveyor belt/computer sorting?

Lego is made in various places around the world. Machines sort the bits into the boxes and check by weight.

Argos are doing there buy 2 get 1 free toys promotion again.

Just got two lego advent calenders (wooohoo!) and a lego motherfuckin' delorean for £59 all in.

So, yeah, still stupidly expensive, but oooooh yeah.

Also: This applies to the minifigure blind bags, which makes them 3 for £4 if, like me, you enjoy wasting your money on blues brothers, scientists, toybox robots and tiki men.

Hold on - are you a human or a lego person?

Does lego person mean just minifies, or does it include Duplo people, and people-shaped lego-brick assemblages?

The idea of living in a house with 200 real people is horrifying.

No, I'm a real people, and we probably have about 200 or so minifigs, 2 duplo people, and maybe 3 of those old Lego people what were those disembodied torsos and heads with the weirdly articulated octopus arms.
