I bought one of her singles, Stars Are Blind. It's ace. I heard without knowing it was her and thought it was excellent. Not heard the rest of her album, though. I think the wife's got it.

I wouldn't call Paris a Chav really. I don't have any particular love for her but I liked that video.

Can you be a chav if you're minted?

Surely she's just thick?

Jade Goody is worth £3 million. It is a state of mind, or lack of a state of mind to be more accurate.

That is why Jordan and Peter Andre will always be the Argos Posh 'n' Becks.

Katona's more the dinnerlady of chav. Or the Chav Nanny Ogg.

In fairness, a few people in local pub that I would call 'chavs' I get on rather well with.

But both Goody and Jordan were chavs who then got rich. Hilton has been minted from birth.

And despite all of the advantages of wealth she's still turned out as a complete chav.

A quick image search for "chavette" came up with this:

Now there's a massive, ranty tangent waiting to happen right there. *simmers*

Anyone that thinks Paris Hilton is thick as opposed to "pretends to be think" is being a bit short-sighted, IMHO.

Mmm - I don't really buy into any idea that it's all an act on her part, because how would it benefit her? Why would she want to be quite so villified? Anyone with that much money, if they want to be in the public eye so much, can do it in a million ways that are better than turning themselves into a complete vapid party slut.

See, if she *was* clever and just dropped the "vapid" bit and replaced it with "intellectual" she'd be the most popular woman on earth. Who on earth wouldn't love "an intellectual party slut"?

She's making hella money just for being Thicky McCeleb. I don't think she's what we would call 'clever', but she's smarter that people give her credit for, imo.

She was in a film that came out this year where she had an ugly friend and to date her one had to have a friend date the ugly friend. Kinda like The taming of the shrew, but very different. And, by all accounts, shit.

But she was always at the point where she had so much money that more money practically makes itself. I guess I don't really see the gain to her in the persona she projects, that's all.

At least in House of Wax, she ends up gruesomely impaled on summat. Actually, that might happen in 'One Night in Paris' too but I've not seen that.

A friend has seen that and tells me her voice is whiny and annoying but she looks quite good in places - and takes it like a good 'un.

Apparently.

I wouldn't call her a chav. She is simply what chavs aspire to be, that isn't her fault, granted she plays on this to be more popular, but so do a lot of people.

Vapid and annoying, I would agree with though.

I think she's quite pretty, and is nothing more than an it girl. It could be a lot worse, and as a result I have no objections to her.
