The Korg DS-10 is quite possibly the best thing ever. It's a synth! Inside your DS! And it's easy to use even for idiots like me!

I am not musical at all - I'm not tone deaf, but most people I assume I am - and yet I managed to generate this -

Okay, it's very short (less than forty five seconds excluding the way-too-long silence at the start and only made up of four different patterns, but it sounds almost like... something.

Anyone with actual talent playing with it at all?

Every time I play with something like that I just end up with some cacophonous mess that sounds like the "Cake" music from Brass Eye.

That's why this is so amazing, because it kind of sounds like something, even though I made it. It's a fantastic bit of software.

I plan to try this. Actual talent: negligable.

Has anyone made a stylophone emulator for the DS yet?

I downloaded this last night and made a nice little techno loop in about 5 minutes. It's great! I will be certainly using it to make more techno, I will post here if it turns out any good :) The possibilities for manipulating things in real time are really good, the Kaoss pads were a genius inclusion, and I had loads of fun adding massive feedback delay to the drums and then quickly turning it off for a proper techno style drop. Me + this + headphones + bus journeys = sorted!

It's all available from [All good importers -Ed] as well as Yes Asia, Play Asia, NCSX, etc.

It's called Korg DS-10, funnily enough.

Not unless it's very well hidden.
