After nearing completion of the cheap eating month (with success in terms of the goals I'd set for myself), I quite fancy the idea of doing some kind of challenge-based *thing* for August too.

I have an idea in mind already, but I thought it'd be equally fun if you all came up with stupid suggestions for me too.

Well if you've already done the first part of your sig, you might as well go for the second part now.

To not murder, or threaten to murder, a single person for the month?

FUCK THAT.

Live your life for one whole month using only one of your arms for any task.

I've buried a cache of gold* in a secret location in Scotland. To find the location of the cache, you will have to travel across the country with a shakey camera solving puzzles and helping people out.

Your first clue is 'The Doctor Knows'

*May be a packet of delicious Fox's Gold bars.

Eat McDonalds 3 meals a day, and if asked always upgrade the size.

Suggestions:
Go vegetarian
Go car-free
Get up an hour earlier every day (but by having an hour's less sleep, not by going to bed earlier)

Too easy, the gf was vegetarian so I barely eat meat anyway.



Not challenging enough, I get the train to work anyway.


Can't see the point of that, except that I'll feel vaguely shit and tired all month.

Find me a job, do the application, and pass the interview on my behalf. That would help a lot.

Leave all of your decisions to Any Question Answered for an entire month. At £1 a got it'll get bloody expensive though. Ask them for freebies as sponsorship or something. This has already been done though.

Do one thing every day that scares you

Jumping out a window onto a large spike scares me.

Become a gay.

Give up caffeine for a month? People are always saying it's rock hard for the first two weeks, you feel rough as old boots, and then once the withdrawal's over you feel ace.

I already drink decaff tea and no other caffeine, so that's too easy.

Set up a new website that gets mentioned in a national newspaper's editorial.

I have such an idea.

A friend of mine went to Bristol Uni where it seems they do an annual charity event. Teams of four have to get as far away from Bristol as they can without spending any money at all (I think they have an allowance for the return trip). Via hitchhiking, ferries, and planes, his team made it to Morocco, which I thought was damned impressive.

But trust me on the suncream.

I have a challenge - download some music software, such as protool, and various plugins, then create some music. Easy to start doing, hard to get good at, but very creative.

I would be pretty easy, the only thing I need a car for is to pop to the shops for food and anywhere else I feel like going. In the worst case scenario I could just shop at one of the food outlets at the station, and ferry it home via train.

Watch every episode of Eastenders for the next month. While doing so, you must eat either Pie and Mash and wear a Pearly suit while saying lordluvvaduck between mouthfuls.

Also, learn Cockney rhyming slang, and use it all the time - this must be done free of irony.

Other ideas:

* Only speak in rhyme
* Only speak in mime
* Everyday watch and review a film. However the films have to be alphabetised (So Alien on day 1, Back to the Future day 2, Commando day 3 etc). That be 26 days so another 10 days can be gained by having to watch a film with a number in the title, counting down (So first day 10, second day 9 to 5 etc)
* Write a poem each day
* You can't start anything else each day until you completed a game of solitaire.
* Sing

My original idea was to see what it'd be like to go to the gym 6 days a week for a month. That's one fuck of a challenge, I reckon, because I get bored/tired if I go twice in one week.
