Hello!

I was just wondering what people think about Obscure Night. It seems that loads of you are/have enjoyed Obscure Night at some point now, and I'm thinking about numbers, specifically. To put it simply, most games seem to have between 6 and 8 players, except for your Halos, GTA, Ridge, etc. This *might* be a problem in future, although we are squeezing along happily for now. So, to be ready, what do you peeps think would be the best way to continue? (NOTE:this week will probably still be normal, to be honest.)

We could just keep going as we are, but some people will have to sit out once we go over the amount in a room, or we'll have to host 2 rooms at once meaning we will have 2 small rooms most of the time.

We could restrict it to games that have loads of slots, but that obviously cuts the number of games.

We could ballot for the slots in a MafiaScum game stylee - but then people would have to show up once they'd got their slot and we seem to have some issues with that!

Thoughts?

Let's just all pile in and see what happens... get an irc channel or something for co-ordination.

I want to play Ace Combat, or Lost Planet or something. Ridge Six. CoD2. Worms. Uno.

If this doesn't happen, and I get bored, I'll start up a 'shit at Space Giraffe' league for people who can't get past the low thirties.

With Forza we've always done "First 8 to arrive" and then if we need it, someone can host another room.

GTA isn't very obscure, in the sense that I guess people don't play it online together much, ok, but everyone seems to have it. I think actually obscure games you probably will not have overcrowding.

Obscure in this context basically means not CoD 4, Burnout Paradise or Forza. Perhaps changing the name to something else might be in order, but I can't think to what.

Before I forget - anyone seen Dudley around lately? Seems like ages since he posted. Did he go to Shunt last week?

He was meant to, but never turned up. We figured he was eaten by a grue in one of the side-tunnels.

Right, I've just thought up the new name for our monday night 'Obscure Night' sessions. And when I say our, I mean 'not mine, whoops!'.

It's so awesome, I've spoilerified it. I'm sure you'll agree when you see it, that it's the most sensible and perfect choice... here goes...

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
