With the 70k for driving for 15 seconds top speed race, you can make millions in minutes.

The worst part of unlocking all the roads is all the little awkward roads in Honolulu itself, and that utterly ridiculous interchange near the airport.

My criping cripey cripes. I've just finished 2 levels of the D-Day mission set in CoD2, and they must be the hardest bloody things I've ever achieved in a game.

I'm still pissed off that CoD 2 deleted all my save data when I was half-way through on Veteran.

Somewhere in the western half of the island is a 'beat this top speed' race, I think it's called 180mph in Heavy Traffic. If you just go off from the start like they expect you to, it's hard.

However, if you do a u-turn as soon as the race starts, the road behind you is completely straight and you can just go along the hard shoulder to avoid the traffic. You'd have to be in a class C car before you'd have problems hitting 180mph. Do it in a really fast car or bike (Mercedes SLR, McLaren F1, any MA bike) and you'll likely finish the race faster than it'll take to watch the money go into your account and hit 'Y' to have another go for another $70k

So it's not actually enforcing a challenge area? Excellent. I'll do me some of that tonight.

No, the biggest restrictions on most challenges is doing it before the time runs out or ensuring you hit all the checkpoints. It does get a bit mind numbing but if you think about it, do it a dozen times and you've got almost a million dollars.

Dimmers - Although it'll take longer, the round the island race that's a race not a time trial allows all cars and bikes and will eat up 120 miles or so in mabe 45mins-1hr and be a hell of a lot more involving than bombing down some faceless highway.

After doing the Millionaire's Challenge twice (I buggered it up the first time and failed by less than a minute) I never want to do it again. The tortorous first half (winding around the rocky northern coast) was enough to make my hands want to drop off. Heaven help you if you get the cops after you.

Yeah, it's worth a lot more but it's far too annoying with the traffic, the race one is a much easier course and crucially, has no traffic so it really is just 45 minutes of bombing it.

Yup. The Millionaire one is several factors easier if you do it on a bike, as you can just ride along the hard shoulder to avoid all the traffic. Once you get about two thirds of the way along the north coast, the road widens out to four lanes and you can go a lot faster... the trick is to not be too concerned that you seem to have spent a lot of time in the first section.

Ha ha! I'd heard about that being an issue, so I gingerly babystepped backwards onto it. The entire D-Day set is a complete nightmare. Much much much harder than anything in CoD4 by a long chalk.

the level that really got me was the last one. I think I had a dodgy checkpoint or something cos I just couldnt get around this one corner at all. i spent hours trying before turning the 360 off and on.

i got a dodgy checkpoint at the bit where you get on the AA turret thing. meant I had to do the whole level again starting from the truck ambush. Hnnnggg!!

CoD2 complete. Those are some of the most hard won achievements I've got. Wow. Great game.

It's the lack of traffic that makes it bostin. The North and West coast drive is so much more stress free.

I managed to get the 'Dual Nebula' achievement for Bully today. I'm now grinding my way through the last 7% of the game to get 'Perfectionist'.

I took advantage of the discount and bought Shivering Isles. I haven't actually gotten to the Shivering Isles yet, as I made myself a nice character (a sexy Drow) and then went to get the Umbra sword. It's rather amusing... I killed one of the hardest opponents (level 50!) in the game as a level 1, by just getting to follow me and then running around a room with a poison gas trap in the middle. She dumbly kept trying to head towards me, which meant she was constantly being gassed. Still, it took two minutes before she finally succumbed and I walked away with the very nice sword (it soul traps!) and a set of ebony armour to sell.

Rightio, 9pm it is then.

I shot 3 people in a row on CoD4 last night and got to press the button to ake the UAV come over and I was inordinately proud of this.

I forgot to say that I finally maxed Bully out at the weekend. My first 1000/1000. *beams*

I also managed to get to rank #1 in Top Spin 2, which was a nice 175 points.

Heading towards my first 1000 too, Finally completed the last TDU single player time trial last night, (the 9 mile one across the hills with time penalties for collision AND traffic AND 7 mins 30 to do it all in).

Multiplayer ranked matches will likely be the only stickler, Perkies is very kindly helping me with the challenge achievement.

Yeah, it wasn't too hard really. I'm in my 2nd season and managed to win both Wimbledon and the US Open (getting to the French Open final). The only problem now is that I have to slog through another 3 seasons to get the last two single player achievements. I'm only 2/5ths of the way there!

If you can set aside a fair amount of time (45 mins, give or take) we can do those as well. One of us hosts, the other joins, then I throw the race. You win. Repeat 29 more times. I've done this for loads of people already, I don't mind doing it again.

In other news, after poking around in the Shivering Isles a bit with my new and sexy Drow character (pics to come, but she's just a Dunmer with her skin set to bitch black and her hair set to pure white) I realized that I wasn't fully utilising the Umbra sword, and decided to go and get Azura's Star (which is a refillable Soul Gem). Except, I couldn't do Azura's quest without at least one fame point, which meant I had to do all the tedious to-ing and fro-ing of the only quest I could find (the corrupt guard in Cheydinhal) and THEN Azura's quest (which is a tough fight against five vampires).

Also, anyone who has Shivering Isles, it's worth attacking Sheogorath (save your game first, natch).
