pSX is regarded as better than ePSXe but requires a better PC.

PSX was the old name for the playstation One11!!11
If I remember my fooling around with ePSXe, you get kind of higher resolution graphics for vectory stuff too.

It was both the original "codename" for the first playstation before launch and the official name for the Japan-only PS2/PVR unit.
Gotta love Sony...
