It's not that bad, actually. I'm not a massive fan of the games (so I couldn't spot any references) but 47 was quite well acted, it's violent and it's got boobs in and it's quite clever - it made me think of a very long episode of Hustle. With guns.

So, yeah - worth a rent, I'd say.

I saw it when it came out. It's 'ok'. There are elements that are faithful to the game, but it certainly doesn't mirror any game plot.

Just finished watching it. Thought it was very dull indeed. Disappointed.

Is it better or worse than "The Punisher"?

I also liked The Punisher. Maybe that explains something.

The Punisher was okay to start with, but it had a distinct lack of gorey, sado-masochistic punishing. Which should sort of have been the point.

Definitely not as good as The Punisher. I thought The Punisher had a bit of an identity crisis, unsure of whether to go down the serious or the comedy roads, but it was an entertaining movie. Hitman I just didn't find compelling at all. It's a pretty short film, but it seems to take a long time not to do much of any note.

And I couldn't get past a review's description of Timothy Oliphant looking like "a thumb with a face" in the movie.
