No, there was a chat thing in the lobby and in the game.
It got very quiet at the end though, I think we were being serious?

I got tired. I was flicking back to the game every now and again and was mildly surprised to see at one point it'd finished and everyone gone.

I think chatting disabled Runcle's poker bot.

I got booted out of the room and though I could get back in to watch play, I wasn't able to chat after that point.

We could always chat using skype as we played I suppose.

As I said earlier, I can fire up a TeamSpeak or Mumble server on my ServerBox of Magic for the night, if people want it. I have a box dedicated to being a server to whatever I'm doing at the time, so it's no hassle.

Skype's fine for me, also, though.

Looks like I can't make this Thursday anyway, I'd not realised it's the first of the month. I can still do Tues though.

heh, in all honesty, keeping myself occupied during poker makes me amazing. Otherwise I get bored and playw ith any cards, chasing cards for straights and flushes when Im nowhere near them. There you go, in other news teeth was funny but Im not sure it was intentional, it was quite disturbing towards the end though.

As far as I can work out we don't really gain anything from moving it to Tuesday - we lose some and gain others. Therefore I think it's best to leave it at Thursday and make Thursday the regular night.

Can a mod please change the sub-title?

You should see it under the Scheduled tab (ratehr than the Sit and go as last time), however I cannot log on at present. Full instructions are in the other Poker Thread. It will start automatically at 9.40 pm so don't be late. You can register now if you wish.

Thanks

The tournament room will be created around tea time for play to begin at the scheduled time this evening.

You can register any time after the details have been posted then.

If you say here that you are playing then we will wait for you, though not forever, obviously. When it looks like nobody else is coming play will start. if you arrive after that time then there will unfortunately be no access to the room, and you'll be outside liek a billy no mates.

I'll certainly play. I may be a minute or two late due to work time shenanigans but nothing more than that. (although I should make 9:40 with relative ease)

Unless I'm being a bit daft, I can't register yet? If it's just that you haven't made it yet that's fine. Just making sure I know what's going on now rather than when I walk in the door in a hurry to find the room!

Er... I will play tonight, but I will be partaking in the sheep-shearing whilst waterskiing marathon in Perth whilst I play...

I deed, I deed, I deed read your posty-cat!!

I just thought that as Craig posted earlier than you and noted he couldn't get on, that'd he'd somehow done it via the website rather than the client or something. I DON'T KNOW.

(I'll be at work at teatime, so I won't register until I get home. I will show up, though.)

Yeah, he couldn't get on to set up the room - I couldn't log on either, it all seemed to be skew-whiff, but he's going to try and get it sorted out now. he'll post the details up as soon as he's done :)

OK I have created the tournament.

To find it:

1) Start the PokerRoom software or open the client in browser. REMEMBER: Your log-in is your email address not your user name.

2) Click on the Tournaments tab

3) Select 'Private'

4) Find the tournament called 'BETEO_Craig'. Ensure the 'Sit & Go' and not the Scheduled' option is selected in order to find it.

5) Enter the password 'beex' when prompted to register.

You can register for it now. I shall start it at approx 9.30 pm as before.

I wonder how many weeks I can last with the $16 of REAL money I have left, because unless I can win it all off you and keep myself afloat this fun poker experiment won't last more than a month at the current rate :)

Just a reminder that if anyone is actual joining the site for this they may want to get a referrer code from me to earn some more money. See the previous Poker thread for details.

Althogh as discussed last week, unless you end up being a hardcore gambling addict, chances are you'll never be able to redeem your 'free' money.

Heh, I'm half way to gaining those elusive points. Well, part of the way. i have played some blackjack games and lost a lot of money, then I went on the real cash games bit.

I put in $6 and lost it, then put in another $6 and got up to $20. I was feeling on a roll so I left that room and cashed out, then decided to go back in with another $30. I was up to about $50 before I went all in with three aces and lost to a guy who had gone in with a 9 and a 2(!) and scraped a flush. This is my first bad beat story.

I don't wish to scare anyone but I just played a real money tournament, and won it for 7 real dollars. Real battle of wits at the end there, very exciting. I'm now officially $0.30 up on my original investment!

See, me and Mimi have been making our excuses, so it's ok if we lose. You, on the otherhand, had better do pretty well after that.
Still, at least you can't do worse than last week. :)
And I'm $1 up, so there. :p
