I made the adjustments that I was able to, Craig G, taking on what you said.

I probably went the most cock-eyed way about it, but there seems to be more space around items now and I moved the link to the log-in area under the shopping cart in the side bar, as your example showed.

The content of the 'pages' (like the special offer page, for example) is still spaced the same as I will have to work on those separately, and I have used all my brain cell firings for today, I think, but I got the item pages and the front page as close to your example as I was able. :)

EDIT: oops, uploaded the same picture twice there

What do you make zombees (etc... but the Zombees are so cool) out of, Meems? I'm guessing polymer clay. Do you make them out of different colours of stuff, or do you paint them afterwards?

Any chance of some more 'manly' options on the zombees? Like individual zombee badges, or maybe a belt buckle?

Here's a question Mimi. I want 2 or 3 metres of green felt. Where can I get it from that's not a mega-ripoff? :)

Polymer clay, mica, tls, and all the pieces are made in the actual colours they are fired in, but the stripes on the bees are painted on afterwards, then they are glazed.

I'm working on some more *HUUUHH* manly items at the moment - drawing up a template for a mens wallet whilst eating pringles to help me get into a man's frame of mind. Well, Mr Pringle's frame of mind anyway.

Meems, you do know Mafiascum has also started right?

Also I feel a Zombee DS-Lite case is perfectly manly. And if it's not I want one anyway :P

That looks much nicer already, and is better from a usability standpoint. I'd probably be tempted to increase the gap between the sidebar and main content further during future updates, but it's good that all your design components are no longer being squished together.

And looking at your site, my dad's frog crazy, and so I'm currently debating whether the 'Flat Ribbid froggy Purse' is a little too odd for him as a gift.

I've just been asked to make a frog purse for someone else's dad, lined with plastic as a tobacco pouch, as it happens.

I can see what you mean about the design - it's far more open now and the elements are better separated - I'll have a look at increasing it next time I do an update, see what works. I like where the log-in to the site sits now, I think that works well.

Thanks again!

You've got some lovely stuff there, but I don't think there's anything just yet that'll quite hit the spot for my wife, although the zombees are damned close. I'll probably crack once the Lite cosies start appearing.

The site looks ace, anyway.

Do mention when/if we can order/pre-order zombee DS-Lite cases. I want one and a pea business card holder and I might as well save us both the postage.

Mrs A is excited about the doll notepads.

And other stuff.

She loves it.

Expect an order come whenever I get some cash, mimi.

Mrs A has most excellent taste :smug:

I shipped out the first orders today, I have never been so happy to go to the Post Office. Stupid, isn't it? Though the men at the Post Office all said 'here's our favourite person!' when I walked through the door, which made me feel really happy and blush. :smug:

Yes, I really do appreciate everyone's help and advice, I think the excellent forums are so wonderful like that.

Thanks, guys - it has made it all worthwhile. Craig put a lot of work in installing the basic shop and modules, and I worked so hard trying to get it t look and function as I want (this was almost certainly a quite 'simple' job, but my web skills fall pretty short of anything, so it was all a bit of a grind for a while - and hour spent looking for the page where to insert the text for the terms of conditions - three hours spent trying to work how to make and insert a new page into the sidebar, but it got there in the end.

With a little bit of tweaking from everyone's suggestions, it now makes me very happy.

I still have items to photograph and upload for the other categories today - I was supposed to do this and also start those DS cases yesterday, but I got back home from the Post Office and just felt exhausted, so I spent yesterday slipping in and out of daydreams. :)

Today, though, I am up and ready to go.

I might want a DS case, I'm sure the gf would love it.

I might have to buy her a pink DS actually and swap it for the black one she already has. I bought black because there was no way I was going to play on a pink DS ;)

I would buy some excellent t-shirts, or wallets. Anything that isn't a purse, basically.

Ace job on the shop, Mimi, though I've already told you this. Hm.

In British culture, pink was historically a man's color. Admittedly, at a time when men wore stockings and frills in public, as opposed to next to their radiators posing for headless photographs, but I hope that assuages your timid sexuality a little. :hat:

I shall definitely look into T-shirts, and wallets are in production now.

I had no idea about the history of pink as a male colour. maybe it was seen more as a light red colour, then.

One of my brothers wanted a pink DS, just because. I have a pea green DS! I luffs it. :DD

Yup. Pink = Girly is only from the 1940s. Before that it was considered a sort of light, jaunty red, suitable for either sex.

Can't say I ever understood the argument that says 'If you won't wear pink then you must be sexually insecure'.

Not so, I won't wear pink because I'd look like a twat if I did. A big, manly twat.

I think the argument was always more that if you are a man who wears pink then you are more inclined to feel very at ease and confident about your sexuality, rather than if you don't wear pink you are a big wuss.

"Pink" is a pretty wide range of colour. Hot, bubblegum pink hurts my teeth, but the sort of gentler pink they put in shirts is much nicer.

Indeed. I have a very nice pale pink Oxford weave shirt.

Pink v-necks and sleeveless thingies can fuck right off though - as bad as Burberry. :)
