So I played this before popping into work.

It's kinda awful. Like a horrible grindy diablo. With almost no variation of monsters in the demo. And the really interesting idea of sci-fi vikings just comes across as a halo clone. That and when you die it appears you just watch a cut scene of an angel thing taking you to valhalla - and then you respawn where you were. Which was worrying.

But despite all that I liked it. Being able to hit a bunch of stuff up into the air with a big hammer, and then holding two of them up there with your lasers pistols is pretty good fun.

May well pick it up when it bombs and costs about £15.

I wouldn't hope to make a career in marketing if I were you! ;) You have made it sound prety awful!

Is this a third person type affair where there ia load of weapons (and animals*?)
you can control? Or am I thinking of something else?

*that look sort of like Phantom's tigers when he calls the strength of 10 tigers.

It is pretty awful. But in a moreish kind of way.

Still It's a big long meaty demo, so well worth a download and play about with.

It appears you can sneakily unlock two other classes to try out too (by wiggling back and forth quickly between the two locked people, and hammering a).

Quality like this doesn't come cheap, folks!

Ok, i've been really negative about this game, but I'm sitting here and work, and I want to play the demo again...

I think it has the ability to create that diablo style crack dependancy....

I like it more, now that I haven't played it for ten hours. Oh oh.

this will sound like a horrible joke, but you know that Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom game that came out a while back to mostly blaverage reviews?

it's ace. really fun hack n slash nonsense with fairly indepth item handling and levelling up.

The combat is full on, if a bit button-mashy, but it's vastly more fun and addictive than what I saw in the Too Human demo.

it does help if you play KUFCOD in co-op though (which is awesomely lag free).

Never heard of it. Does it have a 360 demo? Sounds good to me.

More people should try the Too Human demo, I need people to agree with my strange feelings about it.

Maybe The Thesis of Doom is making me look for mindless distraction...

I think it would have taken more than a demo to prove to me how good Eternal Darkness was... so long as it doesn't get panned, I'll be having some of this.

I'm playing Titan Quest on the PC at the mo, which sounds like exactly the same sort of thing (Juggle inventory. Click on monster until monster dies. Pick up monster's stuff. Teleport back to town and sell monster's stuff. Repeat until fade).

It's ferociously addictive despite having next to no gameplay that I can detect. This is what playing a mumorperger must be like.

yeah it does, but the demo certainly put me off the game back when it was launched. it's a bit uninspiring. but then all good levelling up games take a while to get enjoyable I think.

There are so many games like that, and I love them. Especially co-op.
