Top Spin 2 is indeed excellent - long term readers may recall my love for it after a dilemma of choosing it or VirtuaWankyGuitarMusicandSqueakingFuckingShoesTennis 3.

There's an enjoyable (if slightly confusing) face creator and a huuuuuge career mode.

I strongly encourage you all to get it, if only to face off against grotesque, uncanny valley versions of ourselves.

Just beware - in career mode you are sometimes given unfair matches (your rival will sometimes challenge you to a match which as far as I can determine you have no hope of winning) and it is also a significant investment of time before you have earned enough stars to have reasonable stats.

Funny fact: King Kong gives the achievement points even if you've got God Mode enabled. :D

A bit like on mygamercard.net where you can 'do' sorting and searching your achievements and stuff?

If folks think of owt, PM me (or perhaps a different thread to this one, or just use this one, I dunno) because none of it's particularly impossible or such, so far. :)

@Myoptika: ah, glad to hear that. Almost bought it at lunch-time, anticipating several folks getting it. Good, I'll stick with 2 for now, then.

I think we should have a profile page for each member as well, listing their favourite games, consoles, perhaps have a mugshot and days that they're available for gaming goodness.

Funny fact: It's such an easy game to play through that only a cuppa soup swilling dweeb would need to play through in God Mode. :D

Mr Connery eerily forecasting Borat some 30 years later...

If it's an open API, it's very well hidden, I'm fairly sure you have to demonstrate your sites worthyness in order to get access to that kind of shizzle.

Can't you and CUS tunnel into Gates tight backdoor and sniff out the relevant packets?

Maybe, but we'll need a trojan, or there's the risk of catching a virus.

Thanks to me having a Really Good Idea* this afternoon, I'm making swift progress. Expect to see something up, before long. Missus. Might be as soon as tomorrow, depending on when I lost interest in it today.

*no, really

I would like to play some games tonight if people are about. I'll be online from quarter to nine or so.

Start something up and throw invites my way and I generally turn up because I'm a whore.

No, no, don't do that. To play games with people here, you must constantly check to see who is playing, and what, and then send out requests to play those games, having since located and booted those games. I have been firmly told this. What are these... 'invites'? How many points do they cost?
