The police might be my first call.

They are responding today. We're kind of having second thoughts now though..

It falls under the category of tough shit. Their dog bit your girlfriend - you report it to the police - it's inevitable that they won't like it but I would be surprised if the police have the dog destroyed. It doesn't matter though - I'd tough it out if they get arsey - what if the dog had gone for a toddler or small child and bitten it's face.

I own three dogs, fortunately they're all very docile but they do nip occasionally when you're grooming them or pulling burrs out of their coats and you accidentally hurt them, but there's a big difference between a nip and a bite with enough force to draw blood - and there lies the crux - the dog bit your girlfriend with malice for no reason other than the fact that it's aggressive and the owner is irresponsible.

I'd put down the dog owner, myself. It's their fault that the dog's aggressive, not the dog's.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but my Gran and parents always used Jays Fluid (some spelling of) to ward off cats. It's also poisonous to them so probably worth diluting assuming you don't want to kill them. Might also make more stink than the cats too.

This is the point. We regularly have friends and relatives to visit, some with kids, and often walk along that lane with them. Keeping the kids out of the dog poop is difficult enough without having to worry about them getting bitten.

Did they just spray it around the edges of the garden, or did they chuck it over the cats?

I was riding home the other night and there was this young guy walking an enormous rottweiler. Well, the dog hears me coming, turns and looks and decides it's going to LEAP OVER THIS LOW WALL that separates the bike path where the guy is walking from the main road to GET ME.

Only the owner also turning to wonder why his dog had stopped and quickly yanking the chain stopped the pointless, idiotically aggressive animal leaping over the wall.

I got hunted by a small ginger cat when I was out for a run yesterday.

He came out of nowhere, sprinted along in front of me and hid behind a bush a few metres along, and then leapt out at me when I ran past it. Well, leapt out at me, stopped a foot or two short and then pretended he hadn't noticed me. He then sprinted off to the next bush, hid, and jumped out again. And repeat.

Bless.

Cats>>>>>dogs.

Around the edges of a sand pit I think. Although I can't remember the fine detail. It certainly was not used to water the flowers.
