The new xbox interface. I'm both for and against it. I think they should stick with the blades and make them better, but they're going with a completely new thing instead. Looks alright, but the whole avatars thing looks like it's just gonna get in the way a bit. Maybe I just don't like change.

Interesting. I like the Party idea thing that Lave put in bold. That'll save a lot of hassle.

In my dream world Nintendo carry on as is, and PS3/360 becomes a standard device like a DVD player that anyone can manufacture.

Let me dream.

I'm not even sure why you own a 360 as you seem to hate it so much...

Portal: Still Alive is apparently a new Portal game with new stuff, but little is known about it yet.

Apparently not, according to Kokatu. It says it's a port of the original game with a Challenge game mode tacked on.

Miis on 360 awesome!

I hope you're wrong about Portal Myps, I 'd love some fresh levels.

I'm confused as to why you'd 'port' a game that was on the 360 to the 360?

So you can buy it separately from the Orange Box... I hope I'm wrong, too, but I don't think we'll be seeing a proper sequel until next year (multiplayer yay!).

I guess they had to keep it remotely realistic.
Only been 6 and a half years since Shenmue 2 came out. *sigh*

You brought it back up. Years of therapy down the drain...
I just googled it and apparently, it is coming out, soon, really, it's all finished and everything, you'll see... *sobs*

What?! Am I really coming across like I hate it?

Looking back I did say:

Lave wrote:
I fucking hate the PS3/360. I can (just about) understand the Wii being a different console. But two companies can't release 99% identical consoles with 99% identical line ups. Just give up, and join together please.

But what I meant was that I hate the PS3/360 pissing contest, when they are pretty much the same console.

But I love the 360, It's pushing the Wii to be the best console I've ever owned. Not for standout games so much as a constant stream of games I would rate a 'B' which is unprecidented and I love it for it. That and the XBLA is tremendous. Oh and the controller surpasses the Wavebird as the best non-waggle controller ever (Bar the dpad of course, but Nintendo's patents could be the reason for that). That and it's got Mirror's Edge which is the first game to really excite me in a long, long time.

I just don't pretend it's perfect. It's a brilliant catalogue of games played by a loud, jet engine of a machine which has broken on about a 1/3 of the people here. That's a fucking disgrace.

That and I hate the blades system, it's geeky and shit (I like the look of the new one though). I have to pay for online and despite that it's got adverts on most pages.

Still, if you think that I hate it, at least I'm not coming over like a fanboy. Like I was in the amiga days (IT'S NOT DYING GLOOM WILL BE AWESOME!).
