Looking really nice. Better once you've bounced it off a few kerbs to achieve a light weathering effect.

Just ordered four upgraded motors that will apparently give me a good two extra minutes of flight time.

Took the kids to the beach yesterday and decided to bring my 2wd buggy. Had great time chasing them round the prom with them on their bikes :D then even more fun on the beach as the tide was out and a curious doggy wanted a game of chase :D Good boy, Max :luv:

Had huge arcs of sand spraying out from the rear wheels and it drifted on the flat surface really nicely. Well worth the clean up after (didn't get wet with seawater but caked in sand).

Going to get the original shell back on for next time as it covers the chassis a little tighter.

Here's the mini next to my TT01 240z for size comparison. So cute :luv:

No, I'm suggesting you buy it next.

If I wanted a rock crawler, I'd fix the big one outside ;)

I really can't justify many more cars.

I've now got a 2wd buggy, 4x4 buggy, 4x4 road car and a 2wd road car.

Not bad going seeing as I only got interested last Christmas.

Not having any kits to build I decided on giving my AE86 shell the banger / rat look treatment for something to do. Still more things to do yet but here it is so far.

Really like the rust on the right wing. Did you do the bonnet design yourself?

No, just a Volcom sticker that was the perfect size.

Thanks.

Next step is cutting windows so they look slightly open.

I met some paramotor fliers at the beach yesterday and they were stoked on the idea of me trying to follow them round with my quadcopter. It was a horribly gloomy day and I was having some issues with the video feed so my range was a bit limited, anyway I salvaged enough clips to quickly throw something together:

Excellent stuff, have they seen your vid?

Youtube vid didn't work in your post on my phone but found it on your channel.

Found this while I was searching for it...

Ah, my other channels.

It turned out that one of the paramotor fliers was a mate of our kid's so he's found me on Facebook. He didn't bother with lessons or anything, just bought one, took it to the beach one day, managed to take off and then figured it out as he went 8) He'd not even flown paragliders either. 8)

He had a 200cc four stroke, his mate had a two stroke, which was catastrophically noisy, and not in a good way. Like a flying placcy chicken with no silencer. I think he said it was about £8k all in, but that was brand new. They're simple things but only sold in quite small numbers hence the high price. Still, for motorbike money they look way more fun.

Went out yesterday with the aim of trying to shoot some really smooth footage. Basically I'm too cheap to buy a brushless gimbal (I also don't want the added weight and it would also mean not using the waterproof case for my GoPro camera and since I fly a lot on the beach that seems unwise).

So I tried to keep control inputs as fast and small as I could to keep it steady and it's looking pretty good I reckon.

https://vimeo.com/75338812

I love this machine, most quadcopters are either great fun for hooning round or they shoot decent video. This one can do both pretty well.

Realised the trim was a little out last night so reset everything and found it a little easier. Still panic at times and cut the throttle, so far without any damage :)

Managed to confidently set of and land across the lounge and bring it back and also do square circuit around the table, kind of :) weird getting used to its movements and remembering to give it more beans to keep height when changing direction.

Good fun

They're pretty strong, I've bounced mine off the walls at full tilt and it's been ok. It's worth putting some spacers under the props though.

I've clattered it against stuff and only popped a prop off (a few times).

I always wanted a biplane, particularly an old WWI type so I spent some of my birthday money on this lovely little SE5A:

I also managed to cram some FPV gear in there and then set the camera up on a 180 degree servo so I can look out the side over the wings while flying:

All ready for the dawn patrol, once it stops being a bit too breezy.

That's awesome. If you're not listening to Ride of the Valkyries or similar while flying, I don't know what's going on.

Is it much harder to fly one of those? Specifically, to land it without breaking anything?
