Yep - 68% FF.

I never have a full width browser, that's a silly thing to do. So I dunno if the magic statistics take window size or screen resolution, but my browser size is probably near to 800 wide whatever my screen.

I always use a full-screen browser, but I don't know why. Even on my huge desktop screen I do.

When Craig borrows my laptop he always

a) makes the browser window smaller
b) dims the screen to it's lowest setting, even in bright sunlight
c) Makes the text uncomfortably huge.

I'd run full screen on 1680x1050. I didn't say full both screens.

My browser window is between a half and two thirds the width of my 1680-wide screen. No point in having more than that.

I run full width, but not full height, on my 1280x960 monitor. I plan to replace it with a 22" widescreen as soon as I can justify it to myself.

Yes, north west London - Neasden (Wembley to those who have no idea where that is) and it is absolutely pelting it down and there is really loud thunder and huge flashes of lightning.

It's failing to manage anything other than feeble showers every ten minutes or so where I am in Hackney, but I've just spoken to a friend who lives five minutes away (on foot) and it's bucketing down there. Go figure.

I'm in a good mood, no storm clouds over my head. My serviced forks are plusher than a velvet jockstrap, or flockstrap, if you will.

That's quite a normal physical reaction to giving blood samples apparently. I say this as I had to give a blood sample recently and the nurse couldn't get anything for about two minutes and then my body went into shutdown panic and I was almost physically sick. I didn't pass out, but I did feel like shit for about 20 minutes afterward, with cold sweats and shivers. It was weird - I was fine, I didn't mind having pins stuck in me, it didn't hurt, but about 90 secs in I could feel myself reacting physically to the needle and it got progressively worse over the next 3-4 minutes until I had to pull the needle out myself before I blacked out.

Don't you have a neighbour who has left their wireless unsecured? You could (knock on their door and advise them of this problem - Ed).

Oh hang on, you've gone home. So you won't be able to read this.

Last time I had a needle anywhere near me I was fine with the needle then had delayed shock/girlyness walked outside and promptly felt woozy and giddy at the same time and the next thing I remember is looking up at striplights as they moved overhead, in a "patients eye view in an American drama" stylee.

I hve been trying to reserve a pack of 50 reels of cotton sewing thread at Argos for about two months. Always out of stock in every store.

A moment ago I managed to erserve it to pick up net week.

I know that this will not mean much to anyone else but it represents a minor victory of persistence for me.

Oh, it is one of those 'extra' items - it said it won't be at the store until next week.

I ordered some blinds from the extra service a couple of weeks ago, and they took about 4 or 5 days to reach the store, so I am not too worried.

i think they have had a new shipment as they were out of stock in all six stores I checked, now they are available to reserve in all those stores.

I have been saving for a sewing machine.

Zzoooooooooooooommm!

Go in and say you're an illegal immigrant living with a black lesbian couple and have a number of convictions for drug offences. You'll probably get a million quid. (May not be true, but don't let that stop anyone writing a BIG FUCK OFF headline about it)

On a side note someone in the office was moaning the other day that "illegals" get through at the doctors quicker. Quite how the doctors manage this feat I don't know but trying to point out the flawed logic is like arguing with a taxi driver or nailing jelly to the ceiling.

It's usually because all the doctors are forrin now and let their mates jump the queue. I didn't fight a war for this. I didn't fight a war at all, but that's not the point!

Why oh why did they move the Bishops Castle Beer Festival back a week? It clashes with the air show at Fairford, and they are having the Vulcan and the A380 this year. Bah!

Ditch Fairford, go to Farnborough. Blag "trade" day tickets and you'll be laughing.

Considering how out of touch I am with modern music, I half-expected 'goodwood friday' to be a band name.
