There are probably easier ways, but it's the quickest I've got so far.

If you've got Photoshop, look into the batch processes - you record them like a macro, then just fire them off on a folder or all the open files.

If not (or maybe even if you have): http://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/

I used to use that Image Resizer a while back, but I found that Caesium had more flexibility.

With the cropping and resizing, the images are all differently cropped (they're product photos for the site, so all kinds of stuff), so I've become quite quick at doing them one at a time in Paint and then once cropped, I just resize in Paint while I'm there. Bit of a dated way of doing it probably, but it's quick enough. :)

It's definitely your sort of game. I have to be honest though, I didn't really enjoy it.

Raspberry Pi 3 starter kit for just £37 on Amazon today.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/NeeGo-Raspberr ... d92e54b76b

I’m tempted by this and it seems like good value for money. Would anyone in the know be able to tell me if it’s the right thing to buy if I just want to play retro video games on it?

My take on it is yes it would work but the 'top line price' is just made up (was £100 now £37) and I have concerns over the power supply after reading some of the comments

e.g.

Quote:
2.0 out of 5 stars
Raspberry pi was good and as expect and enclosure really nice. Reason for low rating is the power supply is low quality. The pi actually warns of low and inconsistent amps making it unusable. The power supply is rated for 2.5 amps as recommended for the pi. I tried a 2 amp supply to see if it was the pi or power supply at fault. Low and behold no power warning with the lower 2 amp power supply even though the pi recommends a 2.5 amp supply.

2.0 out of 5 stars
Raspberry PI 3 works fine, as expected.
Power supply is really low quality, with a really bad coil whine (high pitched noised really annoying), makes it unusable.
The 2 heatsinks were missing, even when are listed in the picture!
It's better to buy the Raspberry Pi 3 alone, an then every individual component, not a cheap one as in the end it will not be working properly like this power supply.

Reading the reviews it seems that they bundle a dodgy power supply and cheapo case with the Pi. And no SD card with the operating system on it.

Maybe spend a few quid more on something like this?

Yeah, I just bought the official power supply for mine and then 3D printed a case for it, but there's hundreds of cases out there for pence.

There is a humble 'micro' bundle on at the moment

https://www.humblebundle.com/micro-jumbo-bundle

However - regardless of what other games your interested in you can get 2 games for free , Space Pilgrim Episode 1 and the excellent Pony Island

If you've never played it before pick up Pony Island !

Came here to say this; Pony Island is deeply weird and well worth your time, especially for free.

The early unlock for next month's Humble Bundle Monthly is Killing Floor 2, so $12 for that and other stuff.

GOG has its own client, Galaxy, that works in much the same way as Steam, or you can just download individual game installers from the site.

How much more content is in the directors cut? I remember playing it to completion on the 360 and thought it was good way back when.

I was just coming here to post this because I also really enjoyed Deadlight when I played it all those years back. It doesn't do anything new and exciting but it looks lovely, has a nice atmosphere and is only a few hours long.

Although, the Steam reviews for the director's cut version are pretty savage citing practically no changes from the original game except extra added bugs and a new game mode no one asked for.

Problem there was largely that they were charging for what was basically a patch. Not really an issue if you're getting it for free.

If, for some reason, you've not played Solomon's Keep, do so.

It's so old I played it on an original iPad, but it's really great.

There are some bargains to be had on PSN at the mo. Tonnes of Ubi stuff, but more interesting is the games less than a fiver section, featuring things like:

- the Bastion folks' dodgeball adventure Stikbold
- The Swindle
- The Swapper
- Dangerous Golf
- Super Meat Boy

I'm bagging Stikbold and Black Flag.

ha, assume you were near the end of your game cycle? I only ever made it about 20 days in before deciding I must be doing too badly to bother continuing. A strange mechanic.

No, never really made it that far. This was just from losing some moderately upgraded thief to a narrowly missed jump followed by falling to instadeath. To be fair I almost always find roguelikes too stressful, but The Swindle is brutal.

I recall getting fairly frustrated with the jumping in that game. It required a level of precision that its controls weren't capable of matching.

Erg. Hated that game on the PlayStation. Can't remember exactly why, but it's resonated over 20 years so it must be a good reason!

I once accidentally quicksaved it straight after throwing a grenade(?) that would then bounce off the wall and kill me half a second later.

I spent ages trying to load the save, pause it before being killed, and restart the path.

Did you manage it?

It took probably about forty goes but yes eventually. All so I didn't have to restart the entire mission.

It was a very difficult game in my opinion but absolutely wonderful in all respects.

The Humble Bundle site also has it for free if you'd rather have it on Steam.

Spare key for it - 2A0Y6-XK8K8-GD4DC

Outlast and it's Whistleblower DLC is free for the next day or so on the Humble store.

ETA: though the store seems to be fucked at the moment, possibly demand related.

Loco Roco (PS4) is £6.50 on PSN. If you haven’t played it (1) why don’t you like yourself (2) do you want to be filled with joy and (3) just gerrit you fanny.
