I mentioned this in the main thread for the game but possibly worth a heads-up here as it does represent a tidy bargain.

Need For Speed Most Wanted (which was a full price release in November 2012) is currently free on Origin <<< EDIT November 2012, not 2015, duuhhhh.

It's a splendid racing game, and is effectively Burnout Paradise 2 but with the NFS branding and licensed cars. It was developed by Criterion who did all the Burnout games.

Anyway, for free you can't go too far wrong - https://www.origin.com/en-ie/store/buy/ ... rd-edition

You may as well, but it won't ever stop it being forever known as Need For Speed: Most Wanted: Shit Edition.

Well, I remember the PS3 version sucking due to weird controls, and now I tried the PC version, and the controls still suck. It's like the car keeps turning for almost a second after you centre the stick. Just awful. Go to an external view (while stationary, so you can see the car from the front) and look at the wheels and how they respond (or not) to quick movements of the stick. Bizarre.

In a real car it takes a second or so to wind on opposite lock. Do you think they were trying to be realistic?

Possibly, but I've never seen anything like it in any simulation style game. I really tried, but I just couldn't get used to it and kept crashing into pillars and what have you. Maybe it plays better with a steering wheel.

The cars definitely handle differently depending on their weight, power, FWD/RWD/4WD etc.

I never had any problem with the game TBH, and I've been playing Burnout/NFS games forever. I'd say Most Wanted is more 'drifty' than 'twitchy' but that's cool.

The correct way to think of it is Burnout Paradise 2.

Looks as if there is a glitch on the PSN store at the moment for the PS4 version of Minecraft

Instead of £18 its allowing people to buy the 'upgrade' mode even if you've not bought any previous versions for £4.49

The BBC SHOP is closing down on March 29th and is selling off all it's stuff. Dr who T-shirts are all about 70% off and going for under £5, Dr Who mugs about £2, free postage on everything.

There are probably plenty of bargains for nerd types.

Want free food from ITSU?

Yes?

Download the app. Register, and go to the butterflies part.

Redeem code 'Andrew8501' and get five quid free to use in store.

Redeem code 'Hello' and get a further tenner to use on deliveries to very specific parts of London.

Share your code to earn referral bonuses up to 65 quid.

Nice.

After you get the £65, will the code stop working? If it does, I've heard Matt8031 is also effective ;)

Sadly this bargain is no longer available but has been honoured to those who passed credit checks

VW had a 2.0 TDI Alll Track 4WD on personal lease for £57.78+ VAT

A £30,000 plus car.

It should have been £213.24 Plus VAT, so has been pulled now due to high demand :)

Does show its worth watching all these hot deals sites as it was posted all over those

Aye, £25 for the PS4 version on my side. Though at least I'm ready to actually play it when it drops on Tuesday.

YMMV, obv. I get very easily bored of the Dark Souls-style slow formulaic fighting and repeatedly having to do the same areas over and over again. Most others on here jizzed all over its face.

Surely it would be worth buying something easy to shift - a PS4, say, and then selling it again tomorrow?

With 10% eBay fees you'll struggle to make a worthwhile profit.

Basically this - say you buy something for £200 and its £10 postage

The discount is on the item only so £40 off - you pay £170

If you sell it tomorrow for £200 (+£10 postage) ebay will take £21 ebay fees (10% of total including postage) - and paypal will take £7.34 (3.4% of total +20p) leaving you with £171.66

So you've made a £1.66 profit - but for a lot of hassle
