(Not very) interestingly I'd never even heard of the Steam Link until reading this deal.

I was very tempted until I realised it's a solution for a problem I don't really have.

Nah, it's of little value to me either. Hooking my PC directly up to my TV is so convenient in so many ways that I'm never not doing it again.

The Steam controller on the other hand I am very tempted by because lazy devs not implementing controller support is something I come across all the sodding time.

Also, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is only 3 euro, which is a bargain if ever there was one.

Anyway Number of the Beast is the album of the week for 99p on Google Play this week.

All the X-Com Enemy Unknown stuff is back at a fiver on Steam. (Complete pack is £5, I've bought it just for the Enemy Within expansion.)

No idea when I'll actually play it, but for the price of lunchtime soup and sandwich it seems daft not to snag it.

Note that, strangely, it is only the standalone version that is discounted, not the DLC version, so search for that.

Also note that although the initial download is only 147 MB, when you actually start it up it then needs to download several gigabytes.

If it is set in Ireland, it won't be a 2 player game, nor have female protagonists.

Whut? Lost Planet was flawed excellence and Lost Planet 2 was more flawed but also excellent. The forced multiplayer could be great fun at times - such as the excellent fight on the big pirate boat/car/thingy crossing the desert. That was more than alright.

I hear LP3 drops the 3rd person mechs in favour of FPS territory (and is worse for it) but for the £1 I just paid just to see what they had bodged up, I don't mind at all.

I was going to gift you lot Resident Evil Revelations 2 but, for some sickness in my mind, I've kept it so I can play more of it despite Revelations 1 being the single worst thing I've played since Red Ninja. Sorry. Mind you, I've left Bionic Commando for peeps, cause I've no interest in that after playing the demo on 360 some years ago.

Double discounts available to PS+ members until November 27th.

Only appears to be on a smallish selection of PS4 games (for now?) but there might be something for someone.

Double Discounts

Worth noting that if you're logged in and you're a PS+ member, the discount you're seeing is the price you'll get. Which disappointed me, as I thought I'd be able to get double that. Which admittedly led to the prospect of some mathematically impossible 120% off deals.

The best CoD since MW2 is a penny under a tenner at Amazon. Plus you get some tat too.

Edit: tat reviewed by Amazoner:

Quote:
There are 3 items: 1 a really horrible cheap plastic wallet, 2 a disgracefully bad rubbery and cheap flimsy metal clipped bracelet and finally 3 a key keeper which is passable quality.

I don't why he was expecting high quality tat but, there you go, the tat is tat.
