More in-store stuff I've noticed in WH Smith -

Official PS2 Memory Cards - £2.50
Mario Kart and Wheel - £17.50
(another £20 in my vouchers nicely spent)

They also had COD5 in there for a tenner which was a little annoying as I'd already bought it on Ebay for £15.

I hate that first one. 127.0.0.1 is not 'home', it's the loopback adapter. "There's no place like the loopback adapter" doesn't really work.

"There's no place like about:blank" seems a bit outdated, but I suppose you could personalise it.

"I would have had it as theres no place like localhost" (which is what I read 127.0.0.1 as) , however I'd accept loopback adaptor

Localhost is just a predefined local DNS cache alias for 127.0.0.1, it doesn't actually mean anything.

I have that t-shirt. Any time I've worn it out of the house due to emergency or accident I have regretted it. If it wasn't such a nice "slob around" t-shirt I'd have killed it with fire long ago.

I cant quite see a way to make it work out but Argos have something funny right now with Xbox games.

The offer is suppose to be buy two 17.59 games for £30 , however someof the £17.59 games are reduced already so adding two of them gives you some extra money off (and its a lot less than the £30 total)

e.g. if go to Pro Evo Soccer its £9.59 , but add 2 to your basket and the total is only £16.36

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 666638.htm

Ones less than the £17.59 price seem to be

Pro Evo Soccer 09 - Xbox 360. 566/6638 £9.59
Tiger Woods 09 - Xbox 360. 568/9079 £14.59
Mirrors Edge - Xbox 360. 566/6614 £12.99

Main problem i can see is that none of them are worth the 17.59 originally asked for ?

Actually, you can get 2 copies for 16.36

ATTENTION. You can get 3 copies for a TOTAL of £8.77.

Edit, seems to not work at the final stage! (strangely!)

Another Argos deal if you can find stock (there are a few around in some stores)

Xbox Wireless entertainment pack £19.99

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... mit=GO+%3E

Includes a white wireless Xbox controller , Lego Indiana Jones , and Kung Fu Panda (both games are in a single case).

As the controllers go for more than £20 normally its worth it and if you dont really want the games i'm sure you'll get at least 7 or 8 selling them on so its a new 'official' controller for around £12

TV people! I'd like to get that Samsung that everyone likes. The SM2333HD?

There is an SM2333SW that's cheaper. Guessing that's for a reason, though, right?

The controller in the bundle I bought was of a noticeably lower quality than the one bundled with my Xbox. I've not heard any similar reports, mind, so I probably got a duff one.

I bought one of the bundles around a year ago when they were just on the shelf in Currys marked as discontinued / £20 and the controller seems the same as the one from my Elite (although a different colour) I've not heard of any other problems so its possible you were just unlucky (rather than me being lucky to pick one up that works fine)

Earlier controllers have got a shiny grey bottom rather than a plain finish, dont know if theres any other differences.

The seams of the two halves weren't cut to scratch on mine, so they slightly dig into your hands. It's more than likely just a duff controller - aside from that issue, the bundle was a great deal.

I bought one of these last christmas. The controller was indeed a lot cheaper feeling than the one's I got with my console. But I think this is probably because later models use cheaper materials to bring down costs. Also, irc, the two games in the bundle are also included in the same box which makes them worth a lot less than two separate boxes.

They also have Harvest Moon:Magical Melody (Wii) for £7.95 which seems pretty cheap.
