They were sold out, but Amazon were still taking orders. Just with "4-6 weeks" delivery.

It's moot now anyway, since the offer is no longer available.

If you've got a PS+ sub the Telltale Games Collection is only £28. It's the full set of their recent games so:

  • Walking Dead Season 1
  • Walking Dead Season 2
  • The Wolf Among Us
  • Tales from the Borderlands (you get all the eps even though they're not all released yet)
  • Game of Thrones (you get all the eps even though they're not all released yet)

The only one I've played through already is The Wolf Among Us so this is well worth it for me. I do own S1 of The Walking Dead for the PC but it only cost me a few quid so no great loss. It also means I'm wringing yet more value from the final days of my three month PS+ sub before it expires which is a bonus.

Obviously 'shit' is subjective but 'full of bugs'? I've only played Wolf Among Us and the first chapter of Walking Dead but never had any issues; are they really know for being so buggy?

There were problems on some systems and if you were affected then they never really fixed them - main ones being on TWD on Xbox360 which corrupted saves and left people who had played multiple chapters with no option other than to go back to the start.

(it worked fine for me but i remember a lot of problems being reported and some places having a tough choice to name TWD game of the year that year because it was so buggy)

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of any of that.

I did like one user's issue there where his game inexplicably switched to Spanish part of the way but Spanish isn't even a selectable language in the options.

Steam Summer Sale is on...

4.99 for XCOM + All DLC, worth it just for the Enemy Within DLC.

That MELD mechanic sounds really irritating though, and will fuck with my head because I like to things extremely slow and steady.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... hin-review

Quote:
MELD is collected from containers - typically two per level - but because of its inherent volatility it has a finite lifespan, and so expires after a random number of turns if it's not collected.

At this point, Enemy Unknown veterans may have an inkling of the devilish predicament this presents, because it can force more rapid progress through a level than conventional wisdom would usually deem prudent. As the number of turns that a MELD container will last for is randomised and isn't revealed until you have one in your line of sight, it's entirely possible for either one or both of these precious containers to be lost before you've even laid eyes on them.

I think that would really annoy me.

South Park The Stick Of Truth currently £8.15 in the Steam Sale - I do believe I'll snag that, it's supposed to be very funny.

Anyone currently subscribing to NowTV? If you are, you should be able to cut your sub rates in half by trying to leave.

This was for the Entertainment Pass. I logged in to my Now TV account and hit Cancel Pass. It asked me to confirm I wanted to leave a couple of times. After which it implored "But we don't want you to go" and offered me 4 months of Now TV for 3.49. Hit Take Deal, job done.

Took about 1 minute. Hopefully it works for others. I take no responsibility for unwanted cancellations or babies.

Bit of an embarrassment of riches in the FINAL EXPLOSION of the Steam Summer Sale, just log in and take a look would be my advice.

I might take a pop at Alien Isolation and Borderlands The Pre Sequel, which have dipped to £7.99 and £9.89 respectively.

I suspect there'll be something for everyone in there. Dishonored is three quid. If you've never played Dishonored. Get that.

Mate of mine tried that with Sky a few years ago, and they just cancelled his package :D He couldn't bring himself to then wind it back and say he was just fishing for a discount :belm:

Yeah, I didn't get anything then last night splurged on Dead Rising 3, Ori & the Blind Forest and Wastelands 2. £40 for the lot.

I've just had a look at my Steam Library and there are SO MANY GAMES that I've never even installed, let alone played.

And yet I will buy more. Because cheaps.

GAHHHHH.

I keep telling myself I'll get round to them one day.

The Borderlands Humble Bundle is worth a look if you've never played it...basically you can get all the BL and BL2 'stuff' for $16

It's worth noting that as part of the second tier (currently $6.09) you get a voucher for 75% off Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from the Humble Store which takes it down to about £7.50 so this bundle's potentially useful even if you've got all the content from the first two games.

New Humble Bundle has a whole bunch of Arma2 stuff, including the DayZ mod and the expansions to run it (pay over $4.43 to unlock the extras)

Might be worth a punt to see what the fuss is all about.

Don't Telltale make the Kego games? We've had a couple of bugs when we've bought on release because 'much excite, can't wait' feelings, but I think they're usually very quickly fixed.

But 'shit'? Oh, but I find them they are lovely and fun. I know Tussell does too, and we have great fun playing together. Everyone has different tastes, Lewie P :D

Although for what it's worth, I don't like the Lego games either.

Sure, they are charming, and have great cutscenes, but they are dull to play, and have terrible controls.

Fine, you have me convinced. I shall hate them from now on. It shall at least save me money in what I had until now mistaken as being enjoyment, and saving money is indeed the purpose of this thread.

I am totally bargained up :D

The Playstation Store "sale" is on: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/07/ ... rts-today/

Nothing overly-cheap for the PS4 (although I'll be grabbing NBA 2015 for £20), but the PS3 has some great bargains like Bulletstorm for £3.29, Dead Space for £4, Just Cause 2 for £4, Mirror's Edge for £4, and the Mass Effect Trilogy for £12.

Like any game, they are massively improved by co-op, but after having played about 6 or 7 of them I have no desire to play any more, especially solo.
