My mum's over visiting at the moment and last night she said she wanted to watch a film but then did her usual prevarication over what sort of film she was in the mood for and looked down the lists of films I have on the NAS and on Netflix and on Amazon Prime and wasn't much further along.

In the end she just said 'Put on what you think is the best film you've seen this year'. Which was quite a tough question to answer off the top of my head but then I thought, 'A-ha! I generally post about all films I watch on BEEX, I'll just search for all posts I've made to 'The Movie Topic' thread this year, and scan down those, job done!'

I can't see any way to achieve this using the current search options available, there are nifty options like 'search for author', which is good, and even which forum the posts were made in, but I can't see any set of criteria that will, in this instance for example search for:

'Show me all posts made by Hearthly in The Movie Topic thread from 1st Jan 2017 to 6th September 2017'.

In the end we watched 'TOWER' which my mum thought was truly excellent.

Thanks Bamba :)

There's a search box at the bottom of every thread (on the desktop version), but I don't think you can specify an autor in any way.

You can also search a set of search results, which I guess could get you to where you're going eventually.

How come when I try and search "PS+" or "PS Plus" on the mobile site it doesn't find the PS+ thread (no, not that one, the one we use these days), aye?

It does for me. The first hit from that thread is the fourth in the results list for me if I search for "PS PLus".

I presume you're choosing to search in the topic title only? For some reason it doesn't find the new thread if you do that but does if your search in the title and text. That is pretty weird to be fair.

I think the mobile site perhaps doesn't loop properly.
