3 of my club did the solo runs... nutter.

Crazy. I have done a couple of those (Thunder and Endure), but never again - the sleep deprivation is just not for me! That said, in a team of 7/8, if you double up overnight (do two laps each) and not too many of your team have dropped out, you do get a good long break. I loved running at night. But not then getting (what felt like) bugger all chance to sleep.

Course, I say never again. I probably will.

Here's a conundrum.. I'd think there's litle chance of her becoming a surgeon now, given the publicity, so sparing gaol is probably good.

I really don't see her not becoming a surgeon: people forget things.

A fellow director that earns about twice as much as I do produced some copy relating to the new Criminal Finances Act 2017 and sent it to marketing to put out to agencies. I have intercepted it, thank fuck.

It includes gems such as

I work in marketing in my day job and it amazes me that people write stuff like this. I get it all the time.

I re-signed up for 12 months for Boradband, telephone and TV, back on the 2nd September 2016. My router went faulty 10 days later, so they replaced it, apparently this meant I wanted an 18 month broadband contract, without telling me. I am out of contract with my TV, but not my Boradband. Been trying to resolve this for a month, as my discount has ended, and with will cost me £90 to leave.

Raised a complaint, and will take 13 days to resolve.

Is there anything I can do?

Complain to regulator.

Sounds like she's so keen on becoming a surgeon she started early, but just lacks a little guidance. This is just like a software developer writing a bug-riddled insecure CMS on their own time, and everyone's been there.

My university degree project was basically a storefront CMS, XML driven and written in ASP.

It was pretty terrible.

To be fair, he doesn't even need to point out that it's a saying. Simply "If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is" would be fine on it's own. Less is more and all that.

It does make him a bit of a moron in itself. More than that though, it's the fact he has no awareness of how awful at this shit he is and so, instead of handing it off to someone who'd make a decent job, he risks embarrassing the organisation and himself by attempting to send it out like that. My dad sucks at spelling and grammar - he still can't spell my wife's name. It doesn't make him a moron, it's just something he's not very good at, like I'm not very good at sewing or wrapping presents. Put the man in front of a broken object and it'll be working again in moments, however.

He claims the changes are aimed at contractors (complete horseshit) and then proceeds to write paragraphs and paragraphs about how a contractor not paying their tax and NI could result in someone from an agency going to prison.
