Can you keep the 22nd September free next year - in Manchester?...

I'll speak to the future Ex Mrs Trousers later and see what she thinks but that is right up our street, my daughter is called Megan so she will love it.

It is. It's very sedate. Lots of superb properties.

I've been three times in the last two weeks, and each time I've ended up in M&S's front window display.

Do you know what blunts the fuck out of scalpel blades? Extruded polystyrene. After a few cuts through that the blade is very unlikely to be able to, for example, open a jugular.

Apropos nothing, obvs. It's just that every day is a learning day.

Use swan morten 11s, and change it loads. They aren't meant to be reused.

Equinox 24 done. It is a 10k course and the team has to run for 24 hours.

I did 3 laps, my team did 22 laps. Tired but happy.

How late were your shifts? Did you include catnapping into your training schedule, or did you just drink an awful lot of energy drinks?

It took 8 of us 9 hours to do 8 laps. So I ran, at 12, then 9, then 6am.. Getting woken up at 5 am was not fun...

Glad I showered there after my lap, as Jem said no water in our town. I would have smelled!!

Crazy. I have done a couple of those (Thunder and Endure), but never again - the sleep deprivation is just not for me! That said, in a team of 7/8, if you double up overnight (do two laps each) and not too many of your team have dropped out, you do get a good long break. I loved running at night. But not then getting (what felt like) bugger all chance to sleep.

Course, I say never again. I probably will.

I said that last year.

I got to run at dawn... started in the dark, finished in the light.

Here's a conundrum.. I'd think there's litle chance of her becoming a surgeon now, given the publicity, so sparing gaol is probably good.

I work with morons.

A fellow director that earns about twice as much as I do produced some copy relating to the new Criminal Finances Act 2017 and sent it to marketing to put out to agencies. I have intercepted it, thank fuck.

It includes gems such as

  • "Do remember the house old saying, ‘if it sounds too good to be true it normally is!’
  • and "....could offer the same or similar take home that they were accumbent to when operating via a limited company."
  • and "If any part of your wage is a loan then this is a good sign! "

In case you were wondering;

"Accumbent"; adjective
BOTANY
(of a cotyledon) lying edgeways against the folded radicle in the seed.

Presumably she has a GBH conviction on record even without prison - that's not so easy to forget.

Already handy with a knife too. She just needs to learn the 'stitching people back up' bit now.

It's an 'Unlawful wounding' conviction, but it is possible. Given the mitigating factors and her alleged brilliance, I doubt she'll become a pariah.
