Roads have been fine all week. Today I’ve been to Handforth Dean, Cheshire Oaks, Warrington Gemini and Ashton Moss and the roads were perfectly clear except for all the gritting around Preston Brook, not that it looked like it might freeze at all, the M56 is perfectly dry. I think a lo5 of grit has been wasted this week.

I wish they’d waste some where we live. These are our ‘roads’... It was like this in January too, though. It must have been a bit awkward around Watford yesterday, too, as my stepdad was stranded 2.5 hours in his car on the way back from work and had to be rescued

We’re living in a bubble. Still no new snow around here. I was up to Preston, then Warrington and Chester today. No snow on the roads, no ice, black or otherwise, or other hazards. How long can we stay this lucky?

I think the worst has passed. We are still fully snowed up here, but no more is falling at least. Weirdly tgecweatgercsays a high of 8° today, which I find hard to imagine, simply from the chill being given off by the foot of snow everywhere. There’s no sun, either. If the sun did come out strong there is going to be a flooding problem, I think.
