Amaze. I’m pretty sure he could squeeze me to death, and yet I’d risk it as I reckon he’d prefer a cuddle. I’ve been reading his Wikipedia entry. I likecto think that’s actually him singing. Nobody tell me otherwise.

That was a really uncomfortable read. I’m glad I DID read it, but I found it difficult. The perfunctory diary entries about the babies and other things made me feel very uneasy.

Apologies - I should probably have made that clearer (I've added a note) - I found it fascinating and yes the early parts about the way that death and childbirth is handled can be quite jarring

Radio 6 just played 'Yankee Bayonet' by the Decemberists . Wasn't listening too closely so didn't realise it was a ballad about the American Civil War. I'm getting slack.

Oh my god. I’ve just had a sticker book delivers for my two year old, from Amazon.

Inside were a load of packing slips for other orders. WTF anyway, but look at the ones that have been included in the package of a kids sticker book...

I am partly annoyed, partly amused.

I am going to. I’m just feeling irked because as far as I can gather from the package slips it’s sex toys and lube, Drugs paraphernalia and some boxer shorts. Last one aside (unless they have something totally inappropriate on them) they are things that are completely inappropriate to have included in a kids order, that, moreover (for reasons that will take too long to explain) I’d actually ordered gift options for. So, as far as anyone is concerned this was sent direct to a child as a gift to be opened.

Hmph.

Did they have customer details on? Because additionally that's a terrible breach of privacy if they do.

No customer details as far as I can tell. Order numbers but no names or adddresses.

I phoned up. I never phone up because I always cave in and I’m useless on the phone. I avoid the phone at all costs, so I must have been annoyed.

Poor Haniff Z. did not seem to know what to make of Upset Mum. I said it was totally inappropriate, sent as a gift, opened to find those notes in a child’s gift, etc. He didn’t seem to quite grasp the problem. There was a slight difficulty in communication as his English wasn’t complete or phrased smoothly, and I think he was having trouble understanding the issue. He was very understanding of the fact I was unhappy and offered to refund me the book and asked if that solved it. I said no, not really, because that wasn’t really the issue, and I’m not quite sure how it happened but he then said he’d refund the other order that arrived earlier in the day, which wasn’t related to any of this at all. I’m not quite sure what he thought the problem was at this point, but unfortunately I think that the break in language was a bit of a barrier. He was nice enough, and I didn’t think I’d get any further to an understanding, so I just said fine. It’s not a small amount, with the other order just shy of £40, but it’s not really a monetary problem. But anyway, a bit cheerier and we have loads of Hey Duggee stickers to ruin the house with. Actually, we like sticking them on our faces and feet, mostly. No idea.

Haha, is that why they are called boxer shorts? Anyway, I meant the huge ones that start at the armpits.
