I played the original Street Fighter in the arcade back in the day but I've never played the original Street Fighter arcade cabinet with the pressure sensitive buttons. I read that the cabinets didn't last long because the massive pads that you smashed didn't have any longevity.

I played one once in Blackpool I think. It was actually quite a shit experience because you didn't know how hard to hit them to get each of the different strengths, also punching real life things is much slower and more cumbersome than just tapping a button.

I played the arcade cabinet once , and hurt my hands trying to slam the buttons really hard because obviously they were going to do so much more damage when you whacked them (at least they made a satisfying noise for doing it) - it was only much much later i found out they really just had 3 levels ;-)
