You're in for some treats! Out of them all I'd say you MUST watch:

My Neighbour Totoro
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke

You won't regret making the time to watch them. Get your pyjamas on, a round tub of really nice ice cream, a big squishy blanket.

Last time Zardoz told me to watch Totoro I did, and I always forget that it makes me cry. Sat in my pyjamas, wrapped in my blanket, face full of Ben & Jerrys Peanut Butter Cup, snuffling a few tears and saying 'stupid Zardoz'.

This is the best one, IMO. It's just properly beautiful.

Seconded, but you MUST ALSO watch Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Pre-Ghibli but it's one of the best from Miyazaki before he set up Studio Ghibli.

And When Marnie Was There, cause I love it and it made me cry. Beautiful soundtrack too.

There's loads of great ones and if you need a fat list of those to watch (or avoid) I'm on hand!

I really liked Ponyo, but we watched it during a huge downpour, so the atmosphere was perfect
