People have been hunting through the files on the last update to BLOPS3 and have found this :

Possibly , although given it says 'BLOPS3' on it it may just be a map pack.

I'm surprised they still have not sold COD4 remastered separately yet

Ohhh, exciting... Bit rubbish it isn't ALL the maps, though.

Some sites are reporting that it's being listed as a standalone apparently. It's almost bound to happen but I'd be surprised if they release it until they've done milking the titties with the paid DLC and micro transactions. The scummy fuckers.

Maps listed above confirmed - releases May 16th on PS4 (so thats only 12 days away) !

So of the maps listed

Origins is an absolutely amazing map - one of the best ever
Nacht is Zombies at its purest , just 2 doors , the mystery box and no perks

Ascension was the real start of the easter eggs and is a map i loved playing for high rounds on the 360 , Moon has a great story and a lot of ways to 'play' with the formula (hacker to hack stuff with and the drills locking out areas of the map)
Kino is a classic and another great map to go for high rounds on and thats about it - Shangri La has a few nice twists but its one you cant really play with randoms on because you need to work as a team especially when the flame zombies arrive

Oh, right, so it's DLC for the current CoD game? That makes more sense.

DLC for the previous COD game thats now 18 months old which sorta makes less sense because everything from Activision right now is either gearing up for the next COD due at the end of the year , or the next 'normal' map pack for the the current COD which just came out a few weeks ago on PS4 and must be only a few weeks away from release on PC and XBO (and thats only the 2nd map pack so there are probably another 2 of those to come as well!)

This is billed (at least so far) as a 'thank you' to the community for BLOPS3 , although if you want to be really cynical , they have released MOD tools for the PC version of BLOPS3 already and people are out there and making their own 'fan' remakes of these maps - you just dont get them on PS4 or XBO so this is a way to sell something to that player base

Looks alright, will probably get it for the PC when it comes out.. (Not got any Blops3 DLC yet) wish it had a few more Blops2 maps though. Buried and Die Rise come to mind - and it's also missing Der Riese?

Its basically all the maps with the 'original' characters (apart from their brief appearance in COTD) the idea being you can follow the story through to the end , although since one of the easter eggs hangs on an item you pick up in COTD I dont know what they will do for that (In moon you need the Vrill and the stone , you will get the stone from Shangri La but you got the Vrill from finishing COTD)
