I'm currently standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus to the airport then on to sunny Luton. I hope you two reprobates got some good sleep. Probably while spooning each other but, y'know, whatever works.

There's a train pretty much straight from the airport to Bedford station so I'll jump on that.

I'm looking forward to getting the train from the Shire to Bedford, sometime in the 2030s.

That's very nice of you but it honestly wouldn't be worth your while anyway, it's like a half an hour journey from the airport so no bother at all.

Apparently adding songs to a Spotify playlist is now a premium feature. Hmmm.

No it's not, I've been doing it over the past couple of days and I don't have a premium account.

Uber requested from Bedford Lidl so I'll be there soonish. Couldn't get jalapenos but got something similar in case it's any use.

I had to work today, otherwise I'd have had to make another excuse for not being there.

Thanks once again to the Yes Chefs for another superb afternoon/evening, and of course to the attendees of said afternoon/evening for being all round top people.

Nice to meet some new folk too (including fellow crazy cat man, Bamba :P) :)

See y'all at Cottage VIII.

Thank you Yes Chefs for AMAZING MEAT. Thank you Bamba for your sexy belt shimmy bottle opening skills - I'm still aroused. Thanks to Sal for little dinosaur biscuits. Thanks Bobby for feeding me your meat. Thanks Pete for the awesome tiny photo magic.

Also thank you all for generally being awesome and allowing me to enjoy a sober BBQ without it being weird.

I can only repeat everyone else's thanks to Grim and Craster for slaving away over their meat in order that we could all nibble on it; some of the nicest stuff I've put in my mouth in a long time. It was lovely to meet all the people I've never met before, and just as nice to re-meet those that had previously had the dubious pleasure of my company. Apologies for slinking away without saying anything but that sort of Irish goodbye just seems to happen once a critical level of beer consumption has been achieved. Also: fuck Spotify's 'random' feature.

I was thinking the other day about how Beex is doing in terms of diversity and it struck me that a demographic which is particularly under-represented here is "people who are very small and light"; I think we should be aggressively recruiting to fill that gap and make sure our new members come to the next BBQ.

And on a completely unrelated note, it was really disappointing we never managed to launch anyone into the air by jumping on Gaz and Jem's airbag thing while they were sitting on it.

Mr Dave is pretty light. I not sure how tall he is, though.

I'm not exactly massive :P

Lilian is relatively small and light but unfortunately she was otherwise engaged this weekend.

Our catering style selects against small and light somewhat, too.
