Why don't the sausages get a Dairylea slice?

"Hey Grim..., what are we going to eat?" or "Yo Cras, what food are you making?" has been asked literally not at all. Honestly, we should have just served up the fucking grass or something.

ANYWAY not that any of you cunts care but this is what we're going to make if we haven't eaten all the meat by Saturday morning.

Speaking entirely for myself that's because (a) I trust you lot fully when it come to MEAT and (b) I quite fancied the idea of just being surprised at whatever delicious madness got served up.

Because they're just sausages.

Whaaaat? What's worrying about the idea of the chefs squirting their special sauce onto your burger?

Smoked macaroni cheese?! That sounds ridiculously amazing. Do you have to have a special gadget to make that it have you cheated it somehow? I magnet wow to have some.

Your menu made me chuckle, too. Nice work chef-types.

I've got to be in Reading at 11.30 on the Sunday morning so we may not be able to pop in on the Sunday morning - depends when you guys all get up really.

That's more to the capabilities of my kitchen! Do you think that'd work? Worth a try, I think.

My friend bought me smoked tofu and it was amazing. It was like the smoky part of bacon without bacon.

Genuine question why the dairylea slices?

Always viewed that as pretty cheap and nasty cheese? Is there some culinary tip I'm missing here? :)

The odd time I do burgers and get cheese slices there is always a better looking range

I usually get these

Morrison's do BBQ Burger Slice (or something), which is their fantastic crappy cheesy (can't call it cheese) slice but thicker. It's amazing stuff.

Yes, I've tried them! They do a chilli version too, which wasn't so good.

Gruyere is my favourite cheese on or in burgers, but burger cheese is a close second. Not Dairylea, though. It's too pale and not as melty. You need that kind of orange-tinged sluce sold under a supermarket own brand label.

Extensive testing revealed that it's actually the meltiest, or at least was a couple of years ago. It only just holds together at room temperature!

It is pale though, no denying that.

Oh, I didn't know that. Must have just been super-cold fridge sliced when I tried it. It has a different taste too. More creamy, less taste. Less fake cheesiness.

Yeah, if you get it out of the fridge too soon it falls apart as you try and extract it from the packaging!

Fair play will try some Dairylea next time I do burgers :)

The menu is very good, are you cooking all of that on your one grill or do you have a few in play?

Also how are you cooking the cows tongue? Never cooked one of those before, wouldn't mind giving a go!

Cows are made of steak and malevolence.

Post subject:  Re: MeatUp Festival 2017

We guarantee that we've carefully removed all the malevolence before cooking.

The tongue is getting 36 hours in a water bath at somewhere around 68C, then the skin gets removed, then it goes on the smoker for a couple of hours.

The actual food list is accurate. The wildly overblown descriptions, dairylea slices on absolutely everything, random totally out of place accents on letters, and totally unnecessary random blot of Chinese are not.

I get my meat from a local Butcher is Ascot and also from here

https://www.farmison.com/our-meat/beef/ ... llet-steak

Farmison is more expensive (on the 3 types of Steak I compared) than Turner and George!

Have you tried any of this Old Cow that is popping up for sale?

I always thought that older Dairy cows went to burgers\TV dinners\ Dog food??

Now their meat is marketed as some delicacy and costs twice as much as beef from meat cows!?
