I don't think it was designed so much as energetically birthed.

You should come, TV.

So should everyone else.

But especially you.

Do you need a sales video done?

I like your thinking MrChris! Although, I don't just do sales videos. Perhaps there's a training provision that would benefit from a video? Perhaps Grim... is organising a seminar that could go online for delegates that can't make the day? Perhaps he has a new product or service that he'd like to show off? Whatever the reason, I can help. Reasonable rates too!

As for the Meatup though.. I'd love to come but I've just checked and I'm at a wedding that day. Great.. Another wedding. Did I ever tell you lot that my brother in law and best friend are getting married on the same day? The same day that there's a retro video game show on in Walsall. Guess which one I'd like to attend the most?

Brother in law.

That's third on my list.

Also, I've made it sound like my brother in law and best friend are getting married to each other. They're not. They're getting married to their respective partners.

That would be illegal for a start.

-edit- wait, only if it was your sibling's husband. Not if it were a sibling of your wife. :D

Hmm, not really. Back of a beer-mat type stuff.

You're welcome to come along and measure it, though. I can tell you what I'd have done differently, too. Why not pop in on, ooh - the 12th August?

Post subject:  Re: MeatUp Festival 2017

You can measure it by seeing how many burgers fit on it.

Author:  Grim... [ Thu Apr 27, 2017 20:43 ]
Post subject:  Re: MeatUp Festival 2017

I've got the measurements somewhere, I think.

Basically the depth is decided by the paving slabs that make up the work surface, so it's roughly 600mm deep. The work surface is 1200mm wide and the grill is 1200 mm wide, too. It's as high as you want it to be (within breeze block sizes, anyway). You build a basic E shape with the blocks and cement the ash pan into one level (which we did one brick too low, so the door is massive) and then there's some angle iron to hold the mesh for the fuel and more mesh to cook on. Building the lid is the trickiest part unless you have a handy furniture designer to do it for you. The door is 3mm stainless and the lid is 1.5mm stainless. The handles are angled brackets with broom handles in, whack some chain on the lid so it doesn't open too far and I think that's about it.

All told I think it ran about £350, but you can do it cheaper if you get the metals as offcuts.

I can take a load of photos if you'd like, but it's pretty simple stuff.

This is what I inherited with the house. It's about mid thigh in height. Not bad for occasional use

The mesh was the hardest part to source, but this stuff is perfect:

Done. I think that's only the second time I've ever used my Paypal account and I instantly removed the card details from it again because there's just something about them I don't trust.

I can recommend doing this with corn

https://www.biggreenegg.co.uk/blog/reci ... ode/elotes

You can get the chill mayo they reference on Amazon or I guess just add powder\oil to normal mayo!

I did it in the oven so you don't need to drop £1500 on a Big Green Egg :)
