I'd imagine the school would let the Grimlet keep his too, but it's not exactly fair to the other kids.

I had no idea what they were but seeing as I have a 3D printer and some old skateboard bearings I made one to see what it's all about. I dunno perhaps it would be a bit better with new bearings but I'm not seeing the appeal.

They're weirdly addictive. Maybe it'll lose some appeal now I've got a phone in my hand now though.

There's the Merry Hill shopping centre close by and a canal that I can walk around. I'll probably just end up in my car listening to you and yours though....

Are you up on the Waterfront then?

Shortly after posting this, TheVision saw an opportunity, opened the window, and jumped onto a passing narrowboat. After his dramatic escape at three miles per hour, we did not hear from him for months.

Does anyone else have IE11 that can test this?

I have inspected the images and cannot work out why they are getting a computed width of over 4000px when the max-width is set to 100% all the way up the chain back to pagecontent.

Just tried it and it does the same for me too. It seems similar to this bug which although refers to flex, has the same result. Unhelpfully, it says the bug has been fixed in Edge; not sure if that means it won't get fixed in IE 11.

I couldn't get on with Patapon. It wasn't as immediate and joyful as, say, Loco Roco was and lacking that certain something that the best rhythm action games have.

Something to cheer me up today.. One of my wife's friends is selling an outdoor play house on Facebook. She put £100 ONO for it.

I made the wife offer £80. She came back saying "I was really after £100 but I'll meet you half way at £90".

I don't think she know what ONO means.

I mean, it literally means "or nearest offer", but people have used it to mean "make me a near offer" for years.

Hearing rumours (eg, in El Reg*) that the US are considering banning laptops in cabins in flights from Europe. That could disrupt a lot of business (and if it includes a Kindle, will annoy me know end).

Admittedly, I tend to quietly seethe when my boarding or alighting is delayed due to people putting huge suitcases on the luggage, but then I enjoy watching the stuff go round on the conveyor belt at the other end.

*don't tend to read it as much now as in the past. Seems to have lost its edge.
