I'll be in London this weekend drinking my way along something called the 'Bermondsey Beer Mile' on Saturday afternoon for a friend's birthday if anyone find themselves at a loose end.

Jokes aside - idiot for boasting about it, idiot for not stumping up cash for kids, and idiot for keeping that much in an 'account' of any kind (rather than invested or similar). The latter suggests it won't be in his possession for long. Which is both pleasing and depressing, in equal measure.

The ticket inspector on the train from Dublin to Belfast looked at my ticket and as he stamped it commented 'hmm...Bicester North...wherever that is' .

Anyway back in the UK now. Should be in Belfast by nine.

I have a long weekend in Belfast in two weeks! And a working trip to Dublin in one week. Yes, not combining the two is ridiculous.

I'm fairly sure the guards can't tell if my electro-ticket is first class or not, as i happily sit in first and they've checked it five times or so now with no comments.

I'm properly getting the cold shoulder at work today. Apart from a couple of good mornings, no one has spoke to me all day.

What the hell did you do to get that treatment? People make mistakes - as long as you don't consistently make them and show a "don't give a shit" attitude I don't see the problem.

Also, you know you have spent too long in the USA when you find yourself wondering why they're flying the flag of Alabama next to the Union flag.

My Marshall Valvestate 8080 has a problem. The sound fades in and out. It does this on both channels. I bought a new valve, but not fitted it. Any other ideas?

So, ummm, Old Man Afterthought was attending a games night with his Hash Running Group and I convinced him to run a game of mafia with a bunch of drunken 50+ year olds. I eagerly await results.

Not just this morning... Yep, if someone had to talk to me, it was about work. No small talk.. Nothing.

I reckon my boss will get HR involved but we'll see what happens... Ho hum.

Absolutely.. I've never really liked going to work anyway so you can imagine how this is affecting me. We'll see how it goes though.

I keep thinking that in a years time, will I even think about this time in my life? Probably not.
