Cast your minds back to a couple of weeks ago where I told you all about an event I'm attending where they emailed everyone and didn’t use the BCC option to hide email addresses.

Well, earlier this week (after several people replied to all) we had an apology saying that the person responsible had been reminded of their responsibilities and been given a refresher on the handling of data.

Weirdly, this email came from the same person that sent the first email so it’s like they are talking about themselves but in the 3rd person? Anyway, all’s well that ends well.

I can't wait to meet Dr Zoidberg! I'm going to sit next to him and everything...

I hope they forgot to use BCC for that email too.

It was great wasn't it? Is that emulated? I remember a while ago that it didn't work properly.

I don't know if it runs on MAME or what aves ya. I was just wandering through some games that never got home conversions and this came up, and a whole raft of memories came back about the arcade cabinet and playing it at Hollywood Bowl. Mem-or-ies!

I just bought a copy of Portal 2 for a mate and got a free copy of this masterpiece:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/567680/The_Pasture/

Sample review:

Quote:
I'd say this game was like drugs, except it wasn't fun or mind expanding, it didn't feel good, and I didn't have the hope of an overdose and eventual death.

It looks fucking awful. I can't wait to play it.

Hedgehog.

Vanilla ice cream. Covered in clotted cream. Then add hazelnuts.

Pure filth.

Helen isn't feeling well, so I've probably got a spare ticket for American Werewolf.... tonight.
Anyone within travelling distance of Dudley fancy some outdoor cinema?

I'm pretty sure TheVision is your wife now.

Russell has just gone out and probably seen this too late, sadly :(

Taught Tally to leave food for knockers. She did. Then launched Molly's food, too. Just to make sure her sister was ok. Knockers live under the ground in Kernow, and if you don't leave food then they might make bad stuff happen.

I saw that film when I was eight.

It fucked me right up.

I'm not surprised. I was about 14 and found it traumatic enough watching it on my own at night.

Yes. The effects are going to look a bit rough in places but it's still a good film. Look out for a young Rik Mayall and a young(ish) Brick Top.

And as we noticed tonight, Frank "Miss Piggy" Oz.

Anyway, yes it's still well worth watching. 90 minutes of great filmmaking with no superfluous tat that can still give me goosebumps.

Was very nice to meet TheVision, and a fine evening was had by all.

I've been working away from home all week, and when I got home last night Mrs. W was telling me something about an event on a certain programme that my daughter has been watching, but as my wife doesn't watch it, she got a little confused and referred to it as Celebrity Love Juice.

How we laughed.

This was one of the games I had delivered today -
Attachment:

I didn't know much about it, but looking at the back of the box, it looked very familiar, and sure enough, it's basically a console version of Split Personalities, one of my favourite Spectrum games. Might have to dust off a game boy later and give it a whirl.

Maybe. In Kernow next week, netrunner is on Monday 7th, so maybe 8th.not sure if i can get out on the 6th.

Been wishy-washy on this as they have been messing me around... Travelling up on the train at the moment, due back down tomorrow, however, it may not go ahead, or it may be delayed and go on longer. No one seems to know...

I had my second guitar lesson today. Currently getting my left hand to obey what my brain is telling it to do is extremely difficult.

But then I remember thinking I would never be able to pull off a decent combo in Tony Hawk's 2 or get to grips with Hard mode on Guitar Hero.

I just need to think of it as a videogame that takes a very long time to get good at and I'll be fine. All I want is to be able to play one song well in 15 months (not a Dragonforce one) - that has *got* to be achievable surely?

It really is. Really, really is.

But the tips of the fingers on your left hand are going to ache like fuckery to start with. Push through that.
